Pre-Requisites for JEE Main 2018 Registration

• Valid email address

• Valid mobile phone number

• Marksheets of class X and XII

• Aadhaar Number- NO requirement of Aadhaar Card for candidates from Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir

• Identity Proof

• Caste Certificate

• Scanned images of photograph and signature

• Citizenship certificate or passport of both parents

• Bank details (credit card, debit card or net banking) for payment of Application fees

How to Register for JEE Main 2018?

1. Registration- Visit the official website of JEE Main and enter nationality, state of eligibility,

identification details, DOB, Gender and passing year of class 10 & 12.

2. Fill JEE Main Application Form- Enter mode of exam, exam center, question paper medium,

category, mark details of class 10 & 12, communication address and phone number.

3. Upload Documents- Upload your scanned copies of Photograph & Signature

4. Payment of Application Fee- JEE Main 2018 Application Fee can be paid via online or offline

mode

5. Download Acknowledgement Page: Take printout of Acknowledgement Page and keep it for

reference.

Step 1- Online Registration1. Visit the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in2. Click on ‘Apply for JEE Main 2018’

3. Along with a valid Phone Number and Email Address, enter the following details for JEE Main Registration

• Aadhaar Number

• Name

• Date of Birth

• Gender

4. Save the details and proceed to fill JEE Main Application Form

Step 2- Fill JEE Main Application FormEnter the following details in JEE Main Application Form:

1. Mode of exam

2. Exam center

3. Question paper medium

4. Category

5. Mark details of class 10 & 12

6. Communication address

7. Phone number

If willing to apply for both the papers, select the option for ‘both papers’ and pay the application fee accordingly.

Step 3- Upload Images

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS DIMENSION AND TYPE OF FILE

Photograph JPEG format | 4 kb to 100 kb | 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm

Signature JPEG format | 1 kb to 30 kb | 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm

Signature of Mother/Father/Guardian JPEG format | 1 kb to 30 kb | 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm

Upload the below documents in their respective formats/ specifications:

*The photograph must be with the name of the candidate and the date of the photograph taken, which should not be taken before October 15, 2017.

Step 5- Download Acknowledgement Page

Candidates are required to take printout of Acknowledgement Page and keep it for reference. The Acknowledgement Page is not required to be sent to the JEE (Main) Secretariat.

JEE Main Application Form Status

• After the Application Form is finally submitted, an email, a pop-up message on the screen and a message on the registered mobile number are sent related to the status of the application.

• In case, you have any query related to JEE Main Application Form, Payment of Fees and Admit Card, the same can be asked through helpline.

JEE Main Application Form Correction • The form correction window in JEE Main will be available for limited time only. The dates are yet

to be out.

• Candidates’ Name (as per class 10th mark-sheet)

• Paper (change from Paper 1 to Paper 2 or vice versa)

• Mode of Examination (switch from Pen and paper-based mode to computer-based mode). But not from computer-based mode to pen and paper-based mode.

• Exam Center (Change examination city if available during form correction)

• Aadhaar Number

• Date of Birth (as per class 10th mark-sheet)

• Communication Address

• Contact Number

• Uploaded Photograph and Signature

How to Apply for JEE Main Form Correction?

1. Open the official website for JEE Main 2018 i.e. jeemain.nic.in.

2. Login with Application Number and Password.

3. Navigate through the different sections in the application form and check the details you have entered.

4. Change or modify the details which are incorrect or incomplete.

5. Pay the additional fee, if required.

6. Click on “Save and Continue” or “Save” and Exit.
