HOW TO USE THE LEMOYNE STARRUBBER CLING QUILT STAMPS

The rubber stamps come in a box. At the front of the box you find the line drawingof my Victoria quilt. This quilt is totaly made with the seven stamps in the box,

you don’t need to fit and measure, you just use your stamps.

This is the inside of the box. At the left you can read the exact sizes of the stamps,and there are some instructions about how to use the stamps.

At the right you find the natural rubber cling stamp templates.At the backside of the stamps there’s a white cling foam layer.

This cling foam layer will stick by itself to a smooth surface, like the inside of the boxor an acrylic block. The stamps are exchangable, so you only need one acrylic block

for this set, sized 7 x 11 cm.

For stamping we use a VersaCraft large stamp pad.

Take a rubber stamp out of the box, and put it with the white cling foam side upon the table. This way the rubber stamp will maintain it’s shape.

Push the acrylic block on to the cling foam side of the stamp, it will stick together.

IMPORTANT: Don’t try it the other way around (push your rubber stamp on the acrylic block),otherwise your rubber stamp can go out of shape, and you will print curved lines.

Your stamp is ready for stamping now

If your stamp is larger than your stamp pad, you have to think the other way around.Push the stamp pad on the rubber side of the stamp.

Beware that all parts of the stamp are inked well.

Push your stamp at the backside of the fabric, you can print twice after inking.You can see through the middle part of the stamp, so you can ‘fuzzy stamp’ very easy.

IMPORTANTIron your fabrics (the printed parts) after stamping to fixate the ink.

VersaCraft promises that the ink will not bleed after washing.

Clean your stamps after stamping. You can clean them under the water tap, dry them carefully and store them in the box, in a cool dark place.

Never leave them in dishwater.Don’t stock your stamps in sunlight or warm places, they will go out of shape.

Be carefull with oiled and creamed hands, your stamps will become greasyand they don’t stick well anymore. You are allowed to clean the backside (clingfoam)

with a bit of dishwater, to degrease, so they will stick again.

Cut out your printed fabric pieces on the outside lines.The line which stays (the inside line) is your sewing line.

The seam allowance which is add to the rubber template is 1/4 inch.

Your fabric pieces are now ready to sew together.
