  SMG’s Savor…Jackson, the JCC’s in-house food and beverage provider, donated 805

lbs. of food to Jackson’s Stewpot Community Services. Stewpot began as a simple soup kitchen and has developed into an organization offering several different programs - from shelter, to clothing, to counseling, to children's programs.

Savor Jackson also donated 3,570 lbs. of prepared food to Gleaners, Inc. A volunteer-

based organization that collects prepared food that might go to waste and gets it to charitable organizations in need.

Through our recycling program, the JCC recycled 60 tons of recyclable materials.  

Through several energy conservation and equipment updates, the JCC saved $79,790 or 14% in our total utility costs.

  The Operations Department had only 1 missed day due to work related injuries and

safety, a total of 17,672 safe working man hours.  

Here’s a bit of trivia - 1,687,200 linear feet of toilet tissue was consumed at the JCC in FY 2012!
