His numerous years in the transpor tation field in Canadahave made him a leader in this industry, owning and managing logis-tics companies with revenues, in excess of hundreds of millions ofdollars.Virmani immigrated to Toronto, Canada, from his native New Delhi,India in 1975. On arrival, he possessed a Bachelors degree, positivework ethic, drive and determination to succeed in his adopted coun-try. In spite of his determination and his drive to succeed, Ajay's firstjobs included washing windows and selling life insurance.In 1979, Ajay began working as a customer service clerk at CottrellTranspor t.His talents and initiatives were soon recognized. Upon completing 15 years with Cottrell and being promotedto Senior Vice President, Ajay took a bold move, and began hisown company.In 1990, Commercial Transpor t International (Canada) Ltd., wasestablished with Ajay Virmani at the helm. In 1992, Ajay expandedagain by supplementing the International arm of his business and

purchasing Fastair Cargo Systems, a major Canadian Domestic FreightForwarder. By 1999, Ajay's companies had sales in excess of 100million dollars, over 500 employees, 12 offices across the nation andpar tnership and representation in over 50 countries, thus makinghis Group of Companies very attractive to a potential purchaserwanting to enter the Canadian market.Cargojet, under Ajay's leadership has won every industry award,including "Cargo Airline of the Year" for the past ten consecutiveyears by the Shipper's Choice as well as many other industry
