MOVIE NIGHT returns on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Our movie will be "ONE NIGHT WITH THE KING". This is a beautiful story about Hadassah, the young Jewish orphan girl who eventually becomes Esther, Queen of Persia. Born into poverty, Hadassah grows up to become a beauty who catches the eye of the powerful King Xerses--and ultimately becomes his bride. But despite her position, Hadassah's life is in danger, as the state has decreed that ALL Jews will be put to death. How will this story end? Come and enjoy this sweeping epic about courage, faith and destiny! Doors open at 5:15pm. Popcorn and pop will be available before the movie. Afterwards, join us for free pizza and fellowship. Movie rolls at 5:30. Rated PG. All ages welcome, so feel free to bring your family. This is one movie that you won't want to miss!!!

I have been so convicted by God since I studied the book “God Loves You, He Always Has, He Always Will” by Dr. David Jeremiah. I would like to start out this New Year by challenging all of us with the PROMISE God has given us in Jeremiah 29:11- 13.“11) For I know the plans I have for you.” Declares the Lord; “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12) Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. 13) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

We read this as a personal promise God gives to one that believes in Jesus Christ, but does this not also apply to us as a Church?

I never thought of it as a guide for a congregation but God opened my mind and heart and said, “where do you fit in this plan – I have a plan for Trinity Church?”

Participation in God’s work is what He wants from us. Tell me where in scripture it says that we can “retire” from God’s work? If you are 3 to 100 years old God wants us to be a part of His plan – “Plans to prosper Trinity Church”.

God is speaking to the nation of Israel. Israel had been complainers and not following God so He sent them into exiles. Do we, Trinity Church, want to be called a nation like Israel?

Jeremiah 29:11 “God has plans for us, plans to prosper, our future.”Vs. 12 “Call upon Me, come and pray to Me, I WILL LISTEN to you.”Vs. 13 “Seek Me, find Me with ALL YOUR HEART.”

Hymn book #42 “Seek ye first” The Hymnal for Worship & Celebration“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousnessAnd all these things shall be added unto you Allelu, Alleluia!Ask and it shall be given unto you, Seek and ye shall find, Knock and the door shall be opened unto you Allelu, Alleluia!”

10 Things on Thinking Ahead in the New Year Taken from Planning for 2014 | ED STETZERThe beginning of a new year is an ideal time to stop, look up, and get our bearings. To that end, here are some questions to ask prayerfully in the presence of God.

1. What's one thing you could do this year to increase your enjoyment of God?2. What's the most humanly impossible thing you will ask God to do this year?3. What's the single most important thing you could do to improve the quality of your family life this year?4. In which spiritual discipline do you most want to make progress this year, and what will you do about it?5. What is the single biggest time-waster in your life, and what will you do about it this year?6. What is the most helpful new way you could strengthen your church?7. For whose salvation will you pray most fervently this year?

8. What's the most important way you will, by God's grace, try to make this year different from last year?9. What one thing could you do to improve your prayer life this year?10. What single thing that you plan to do this year will matter most in ten years? In eternity?January
