Roamin’ with Rodney… Good Morning! Welcome to the worship services at the Leoma church of Christ! If you are visiting today, thank you so much for coming our way. We pray that you will come again and visit with us often. As we are trying to survive through this Covid-19 pandemic and work to encourage and thrive spiritually, it is much harder for us to be welcoming, but we want to make that effort and to let you know that we’re glad you’re here! What are your spiritual needs? What topics would you like to study more about in your Bible? What areas of your faith have been weakened during this unusual period of 2020? How can I, as your minister, help you study from the word of God more? I’ll admit that our Wednesday night topics are things I picked because I need them too. But maybe there are other topics that you need to help on your spiritual journey. If so, let me know because I want to help you be closer to our God. My main objective in life is to bring people to a place where they can have a better relationship with God, due to a greater understanding of God’s will from the Bible and application of principles it shares. A topic that I feel might be of benefit to us all is LOVE. How many passages in the Bible do we know that deal with this topic? How many pages could we turn to and find instruction on this matter? Yet, how easy is it to allow our love for God, for others, and even for ourselves to be lacking? Consider the following passages: Leviticus 19:18- “You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.” Deuteronomy 6:5- “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.” Psalm 145:20- The Lord preserves all who love him,” Proverbs 15:17- “Better is the dinner of herbs where love is than a fattened ox and hatred with it.” Romans 5:8- “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Ephesians 4:15- “Speaking the truth in love we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,” 1 Peter 3:8- “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” In HIS Service, Rodney Livingston
