I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY FOOTBALL ON THE HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE LEVEL – AND FOR ME, THERE'S NOTHING LIKE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

What makes it exceptional goes well beyond the team’s game plan. It reflects in the honest love and passion that players, coaches and fans exhibit for the sport and for eachother. In high school, the thoughts of graduation or life thereafterare distant enough not to influence the team rooms, weight rooms and fields where coaches and players prepare for Friday nights. It’s about school and community pride, playing alongside friends, many of whom have known each other since kindergarten. When the lights shine on Cupertino Stadium, our entire school communityassembles to route on the Powerful Pioneers. Players and coaches demonstrate all their skilldetermined to triumph. Supporterscrowd the stands to support and cheer on student-athletes they know with a genuine love and desire to see the team and players do well. This sentiment could not bemore true than at Cupertino High School under the guidance and leadership of Head Varsity Coach, Chris Oswald.

Coach Oswald has given us much to be proud of as he and his coaching staff have trained our athletes to play fundamental but attacking style defense along with pro-style offence using multiple formations and shifts to challenge opponents. We will be there cheering the effort along because we understand how important a strong football program is to our school culture.

As an athletic program, the need for a strong football program is paramount to set the tone for the rest of the athletic year. Coaches, teachers, and administrators look to the football program to be a model for athletics and lay the groundwork for all to have a good season. When our football team performs well our school pulses with its success. It’s a feeling we all look forward to.

A football game at CHS is a place where students, faculty, and families can exhibit school spirit and pride. We look forward to sharing this experience with you as our Cupertino High School Pioneers strive for success once again this fall season.

WELCOME, FINALLY TO THE 2020-2021 CUPERTINO HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SEASON! After a very long wait and many starts and stops it is time to play

some football and we could not be any more excited. This season will be a five game sprint to the end but I believe we will be up to the task as we face some familiar foes in Lynbrook, Monta Vista, Homestead, Saratoga and Gunn. All of these teams have faced some difficult challenges with trying to get ready for this season but I know they will all bring their best effort. I could not be any happier than I am for our senior class who really deserve this opportunity after putting in a lot of hard work over the past 3 years. Lead by Paul Li, Eddie Wilson, George Kocho and three year varsity started Jonny Hernandez it is a great group who is determined to go out winners!!Thank you for supporting the Pioneers and we hope that you will be at all our home games. Please take the time to browse the program and check out all our sponsors who really make a positive impact on our student-athletes.

THANKS AND GO PIONEERS!!!

Hail to Cupertino, the school we love the best...

On the pleasant thought of thee our minds will often rest...

With Red for courage,

Gray for faith, Gold for loyalty...

From all our hearts these pleasant years will never distant be...

Oh hail to Cupertino,

We pledge our best to thee.
