• Requires an audio playback software programme + device to listen. (iTunes + iPod / Smartphone)

• Zero interaction. Minimal engagement.

• 'Net Generation' of learner's. + increased mobile device ownership. + more pedagogically sound podcasts. + connected social networking sites. = potential for thoroughly integrated podcasts with a clear language-acquisition purpose.
