Schedule SpeakersHer Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of JordanHer Majesty Queen Rania is UNICEF’s Eminent Global Advocate for Children and Honorary Chair of the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative. Her Majesty is a board member of both the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Foundation. Her Majesty Queen Rania focuses on a variety of causes, the most important of which is education. In Jordan, Her work helps raise the quality of education for Jordanian children. Abroad, she advocates for global education and for world leaders to fulfill their commitments towards universal primary education.

Prof. Martin Hilb, University of St. GallenProf. Dr. Martin Hilb is the founder of the IFPM Center for Corporate Governance at the University of St. Gallen. Prof. Hilb has been awarded a gold medal in Corporate Governance by the International Academy of Quality “for exceptional contributions to the principles and practice of quality in governance”. Hilb is Professor of Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen, Titular Professor at the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management in Brussels. He is also Managing Director of the Institute for Leadership and HRM and its Center for Corporate Governance, President of the Institute for Business Ethics as well as Member of the Board of Governors of the University of Lucerne in Switzerland.

Rolf Doerig, Chairman, Swiss Life, Adecco, Danzer. Vice Chairman, Kaba HoldingRolf Doerig launched his professional career at Credit Suisse in 1986 where he held a number of executive positions in various areas of banking and different geographical markets. In 2002, he held the position of Chairman, Switzerland. Rolf Dörig was CEO of the Swiss Life Group from November 2002 until May 2008. He became Chairman of the Board of Directors of Swiss Life Holding in May 2009. Dörig is also Chairman of the Board of Directors at Adecco, and Danzer AG, Vice Chairman at Kaba Holding and Member of the Executive Committee at economiesuisse.

Andreas Schmid, Chairman Gategroup, Oettinger Imex, Symrise, Flughafen Zurich. Vice Chairman, Barry CallebautAndreas Schmid has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gategroup since April 2009. Schmid is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oettinger Imex AG (Davidoff Group), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Symrise AG and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flughafen Zurich AG. He has been Vice Chairman of Barry Callebaut AG since 2005. There, he previously held the position of Chairman from 1999 to 2005 and was CEO from 1999 to 2002. He also has been a member of the Board of Directors of Karl Steiner AG since 2008 and a member of the Board of Directors of Badrutt’s Palace Hotel AG since 2006.

Dr. Margaret Elizabeth Nkrumah, Chairman of the Board of SOS Children’s Villages Association of GhanaDr. Margaret Elizabeth Nkrumah served on the Executive Committee of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) in Geneva and also on the Board of the Council of International Schools(CIS) UK. She is currently on the Board of the International Schools Association (ISA) Geneva and on the Advisory Boards of the African Leadership Academy (ALA) South Africa and the Committee to Teach About the United Nations (CTAUN) New York.

He is currently working for the IBM Software group where he is leading a community of Social Software Ambassadors helping spread the message on the potential impact that social computing has within the areas of finding expert information and changing the knowledge sharing culture.

Martha Thorne, Executive Director , the Pritzker Architecture PrizeMartha Thorne has been Executive Director of the Pritzker Architecture Prize since 2005. In that capacity she works closely with the jury; however, she does not vote in the proceedings. Currently she is Associate Dean for External Relations at IE School of Architecture in Madrid, Spain. She served as Associate Curator of the Department of Architecture at The Art Institute of Chicago from 1996 to 2005. She is the editor and author of several books, including The Pritzker Architecture Prize: The First Twenty Years, and author of numerous articles for architectural journals and encyclopedias.

John Tobin, Global Head of Sustainability Affairs, Credit Suisse Dr. Tobin is Global Head of Sustainability Affairs, and has responsibility for managing environmental and social matters at Credit Suisse. He joined Credit Suisse from Clifford Chance in New York, where he was a corporate attorney focusing on cross-border financial transactions. He holds a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University as well as a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He obtained his B.S. in Biology, magna cum laude, from UCLA. Dr. Tobin is member of the board of directors of the Organization for Tropical Studies and of the Private Sector Advisory Group of the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction.Anne P. Wallin, Director, EH&S and Sustainability (EMEA), The Dow Chemical Company Dr. Wallin is responsible for Environment, Health and Safety and Sustainability services for EMEA region in the areas of Toxicology, Product Safety and Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, and Sustainability. She retains her global responsibility for Sus-tainable Chemistry and Life Cycle Assessment, incl. leadership of the 2015 Sustainable Chemistry Goal project team which is integrating Sustainable Chemistry across all disciplines, functions, and businesses in Dow. Anne is a member of the California Green Ribbon Science Panel and the Governing Board of the American Chemical Society’s Green Chemistry Institute.

Ioannis Ioannou, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, London Business SchoolProf. Ioannou is a strategy scholar whose research focuses on Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In recent pioneering work, Prof. Ioannou with Prof. Eccles and Serafeim, have documented that a corporate culture of sustain-ability generates superior financial performance in the long run and explored how such a culture translates into business practices. His recent paper with Olga Hawn on “Whether Actions Speak Louder than Words: the case of CSR”, was published in the Best Paper Proceedings of the Academy of Management (AOM) 2012. Prof. Ioannou graduated magna cum laude from Yale University and holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University.

Åsa-Katrin Johansson, Head of Risk & Sustainability GF-SCM ABB LtdÅsa Johansson joined ABB Asea Brown Boveri Ltd in 2011. Åsa’s experience spans from construction, marine and power automation industry. Åsa has over 15 years of experience working at multinational companies, holding leading supply chain functions such as head of steel, supply chain, commodity management etc. Åsa has strong experience in global sourcing, compliance and risk management, lived and worked in multiple countries around the world. Åsa holds a BA in Landscape Architecture and a Masters in Supply Chain Management.

Thomas R. Meier, CEO Asia, Julius Baer Mr. Thomas R. Meier has been CEO and Member of the Executive Board of Bank Julius Baer & Co since 2011. Prior to Julius Baer, Dr. Meier was Head of Private Wealth Management and Member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank, Luxem-bourg. From 2000 - 2004 he was CEO North Asia and Branch Manager at Credit Suisse Group. Dr. Meier has a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Zurich. He also studied Political Science and Economics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin.

Yunsong Xing Sutter, CEO & Founder, Succeed AGYunsong is a seasoned Private Banking professional with over 12 years of demonstrable track record and founder of Succeed AG, a private banking consultancy firm. Her past roles and responsibilities included Head of Strategy for Private Banking China with The Royal Bank of Scotland Group; Head of Corporate Communications, Project Manager of Integration, Senior Manager within Risk and Audit at RBS Coutts International. Yunsong has a bachelor degree in Information Management from University of Melbourne, a degree in CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) and EMBA from both INSEAD and Tsinghua.

Blaise Godet, former Swiss Ambassador to ChinaBlaise Godet has a law degree from the University of Neuchatel and is qualified as a lawyer. He started his professional career in one of the big Swiss banks and entered the diplomatic service in 1974. Prior of being appointed Ambassador to China, Mongolia and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in 2008, he served as Ambassador in over 8 countries as well as at Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

Simon Tay, Professor, National University of SingaporeSimon Tay is a professor of international law at the National University of Singapore, chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs think-tank, and Senior Consultant at Wong Partnership, a leading Singaporean law firm with practice in Southeast Asia, China and the Middle East. As an academic, he has published internationally and taught at Harvard Law School, Yale and the Fletcher School and his 2009 book Asia Alone: The Dangerous Post-Crisis Divide from America was favorably reviewed in The Economist and The Financial Times.

Stephan Titze, CEO China, Syngenta Stephan Titze has been in China for the last 6 years, leading the growth track for the Syngenta Crop protection business. Titze studied Agriculture and Marketing at Queensland University and spent his early working life in Australia with ICI, (now Orica). Previous roles included General Manager Indonesia, Business Manager East Europe and European Strategy Man-ager. Stephan has been the Chairman of Crop Life China, the International Crop Protection Companies industry association in China and is also the Vice President of Swisscham China in Shanghai.

Johnny Chen, CEO APAC, Zurich Insurance GroupJohnny Chen is Chief Executive Office, Asia Pacific General Insurance of Zurich Insurance Group. Mr. Chen is also a member of the Leadership Team and of the Asia Pacific Committee of the Group. Prior to joining Zurich, Mr. Chen was an executive member of the Greater China Management Board and of the Operating Committee of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”). He was also the Managing Partner of PwC’s Beijing office. Mr. Chen has also been a Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in China since 1995.

Christoph I. Lang, Asia ExpertLang worked at several national and international organizations including the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the International Committee of the Red Cross as well as the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. He started his career at the District Court in Zurich and the Union Bank of Switzerland. Lang earned a PhD in Law from the University of Zurich.

Martyn Parker, Chairman Global Partnership, Swiss ReMartyn Parker was appointed as CEO Reinsurance Asia and Regional President Asia and joined the Executive Committee with effect from 1 January 2012. He became CEO of Swiss Re’s Asia Division on 1 June 2006. From his Hong Kong base, he oversaw Swiss Re’s rapidly expanding Asia-Pacific business, which covers both the Property & Casualty as well as the Life & Health sectors. He continued to serve as a member of the Group Management Board, which he joined in September 2005 as Global Head of Life and Health Products.
