9Component NewsWe at ITP keep customer in the heart of everything we do and with that in mind year 2019 has started with new strategic investments and step up activities in existing operation, this will now o� er to our customers an extended product range & services.

I will like to introduce to you about our leaders who are involved in making customer experience better while they deal with ITP.

Our trading activity under the name ITPPL is now headed by Mr Ajay Gupta who is COO of ITPPL who has 20 years of experience in the components line at senior positions. His last assignment was at RS Components as Vice President. He is in the process of expanding ITPPL operations. We have recently introduced new lines such as Plastic � lm capacitors for motor run application, DC link capacitors for Welding machines and various other high voltage capacitors being used by UPS manufacturers and Telecom power supply manufacturers. Another of our focus area is Kendeil make screw type/snap � t type electrolytic capacitors. This augments our existing range of Sanyodenki instrument cooling fans, Conin conformal coating, OMRON range of electromechanical components, YOI relays, Lithium ion battery packs and various other components.

Our manufacturing operations are now headed by Mr Madan Lal Chopra who is COO of ITPEL and has joined us after completing his tenure at TDK (EPCOS) as President. Prior to that has has worked in senior positions at SGS and Beetel. Mr Chopra has already introduced TPM methodology in our plants with an aim of Zero defects.

Mr Shrikant who heads marketing of wire harness and wound components, assisted by Meenakshi have been serving you on regular basis. We are opening new market segments for our products including exports.

We have added another product family to our manufacturing operations and that is wires. Our plant at Haridwar is geared to supply high quality wires used in electronics, appliances, automotive and various other speciality applications. This business is headed by Mr Vinod Narang, who has a rich experience of the domain. His last assignment was GM at Munjal Showa.

Our joint venture project ie Gruner India located in Haridwar has supplied millions of latching relays to the customers world wide. Mr Manjeet Sachdeva heads all manufacturing and technical operations while Mr Bishwadeo Srivastava leads commercial activities related to this business. The plant quality is well recognised by the global customers.

All these leaders along with their colleagues have one objective and that is creating better and better experience for the customer. Some of them interact with you directly while other do it behind the scenes. But all have the same objective.

Management Thoughts“The only certainty is “Change”

First let me Thank you for supporting ITP for the last 52 years. From time to time, we changed and that is the reason why we still exist and in good health.

Lately, on the manufacturing side: we set up a modern manufacturing line which produces PVC insulated wires and cables. The production capacities of the wiring harnesses and magnetics are being ramped up continuously. By August they will be at least 50% higher and will double by the end of 2019.

ITPL, our marketing company has enhanced its product o� er both in breadth & depth and now available with a new line card e.g. Kendeil Capacitors which are large screw type capacitors. These are smart looking, high quality capacitors and have been approved by many of our large customers.

You will � nd Thermal cuto� switches by SEKI Controls. This is another very exciting product line and is used to disconnect the load if the transformer or circuit gets over heated. It is already being used in geysers and many appliances. These Thermal cuto� switches reset on their own when the temperature drops.

Samsung Electro mechanics components range will soon be available from ITP. This include multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) & Chip resistors for applications like Automotive, Camera, Displays & mobile phones.

Wakai, ITP private label brand in batteries is moving towards next generation Li-ion batteries which has been specially developed and designed for various applications like emergency light/bulb, solar products & e-Riksha/ Vehicles. These batteries are BIS approved and safe to use with commendable performance

YOI relays have added a special sugar cube relay which has a much stronger NO contact where the relay is primarily used to switch the circuit ON or O� . For large quantities above 5000 pcs per lot, special prices are o� ered. An extremely reliable and good quality switch which also has a 2 Amp NC contact.

Application Methods: • AR-30: Spraying method • LQ-30/LQ-60/LQ-100: Brushing and Dipping method

1 Spraying Method

This method is widely used for applying conformal coating to PCB assemblies. lt is suitable only for our product, Conins Acrylcoat AR-30, Which is available in easy to use a Aerosol can.

1. Hold the aerosol can in a slightly tilted position, at about 3 to 6 inches from the PCB assembly.

2. Push the spray button on the can gently, to spray the aerosol.

3. Move your hand evenly and quickly, across the width or length of the PCB assembly, to spray single coat of aerosol,

4. Leave the component to dry in a well-ventilated area.

lmportant: Perform the spray coating under an exhaust hood or near open window. This pulls out fumes and � ne mist from the aerosol.

2 Brushing Method

This method is the easiest & most economical method for applying the conformal coatings. lt is better suited for batch production & service applications. Brushing method ensures uniform application of coating and the thickness depends upon the application. Our products can be provided in cans.

1. Dip the application brush in the can.

2. Apply the conformal coating evenly on the PCB assembly or component.


3 Dispensing Pump Method

This method can be used when the quantity of PCB assemblies is more. Application can be done with the help of compressed air with 0.5 kg or 1 kg air pressure. Spraying can be done with help of a spray gun with adjustable spraying angles. By using this method, you can apply conformal coating of any viscosity to the component as per its needs.

Features of the Dispensing Pump method1. Dispensing pump tank is available in 5 liters and 10 liters capacity.

2. Dispensing pump is available with easy to use Spray Gun.

3. Minimum wastage, More coverage area.

4. For spraying, no gas required. Spraying is done only using air. Hence, it is safe to apply.

5. Eco-friendly method as empty spray bottles need not be thrown away as waste.

4 Dipping Method

This method is most suitable for small production or assembly units or shops.

1. Dip the PCB component in the dip tank containing conformal coating. 2. Withdraw the component slowly at a uniform rate.
