ABOUT THE COURSEOffered in partnership with the Ministry of
Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS), Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the Technical
Engineer Diploma in Automotive Engineering follows a practice-based
curriculum prescribed by our prestigious partner institution, Carl- Benz-Schule in
Gaggenau, Germany. This programme equips students with comprehensive skills and
knowledge in analysing and resolving complex technical problems associated with motor
vehicles, managing workshop maintenance and repair services, rendering technical advice and
providing workshop services to motorists.
Venue: ITE College West
Duration: 2 years of full-time training
Notes: To apply for further studies at Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany, TED graduates will be required to fulfil 1.5
years of relevant work experience. Relevant work experience acquired before the TED in Automotive Engineering course
may be recognised (including relevant internships and work experience gained prior to and during training at Nitec and
Higher Nitec levels).

PROGRESSION FOR ITE CONTINUING EDUCATION & TRAINING (CET) GRADUATES
Applicants with the following qualifications who meet the minimum academic requirements and have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in automotive after-sales (may include occupations relating to vehicle mechanics or technicians and customer service advisors) can be considered for admission:
Relevant ITE CET Higher Nitec in Technology (GPA of 2.0 and above) Relevant ITE CET Nitec in Technology (GPA of 3.0 and above) Relevant Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) diplomas and Level 6
WSQ Workplace Literacy and Workplace Numeracy

Working adults with at least 2 years of relevant work experience can be considered for admission.
In line with industry requirements, applicants must ensure that they
are free from colour appreciation deficiency.
Singaporean graduates holding relevant CET Nitec in Technology and Higher Nitec in Technology qualifications may progress to the full-time Technical Engineer Diploma in Automotive Engineering course.
Admission is based on merit.
