Where is it?

iPhoto is usually in your dock as an alias

If not an easy way to find and launch applications it through Spotlight. Type iPhoto into the spotlight search box to find

and launch the program.

Upon Launch you are greeted with main window shown below

In Events view, your photos are grouped into individual panes.

When you move your cursor over the pane, you can cycle through previews of all the photos in that event.

In Photos view, you view thumbnails of all the pictures in an eventPhotos can be dragged from the viewer to Albums further organizing your library
