Exporting files using iphoto1. Create a new folder on desktop 2. In iphoto, use the FILE - EXPORT - FILE EXPORT to resize photos for other applications

- choose one photo OR a group of photos- format: Choose jpeg- Scale images no larger than:

500 width (suggested for powerpoint)- export to a new folder on the desktop

3. Open the folder and drag and drop images into powerpoint with minimal resizing.

Creating slideshows in iphoto1. Gather 10-15photos 2. Create an album in iphoto3. Drag the photos into the folder in iphoto4. Choose slideshow

- Consider an effect: sepia, black and white- Select a transition- Ken Burns Effect? Do you want the images to

move?- Show titles? Do you want “captions”

- Settings: adjust slide length, speed of transitions, - music - Choose from sample or song in itunes library - Play your slideshow!

Exporting slideshow to .mov

1. Select slideshow (not album)2. FILE to EXPORT 3. Save as …..4. Choose a size for your quicktime file

(Smaller is better for web based use)5. EXPORT

Voila - you have a stand alone .mov fileto use on a website, wiki, burn to a cd.
