FROM THE ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES OFFICEHS Practices during ICARE Week: As has been a practice

in past years, only varsity practices will be held during

ICARE week if there are enough team members completing

ICARE at local Manila sites. Varsity coaches have been

checking with their players this week and advising if prac-

tices will be on next week. Please check with your

coaches. There will not be any practices for JV teams dur-ing HS ICARE week.

Bearcats Basketball: Last weekend, our HS girls basketball

team played at Brent in their invitational tournament

and they kept their winning run intact so far this season

going undefeated and winning the final vs. Brent 43-40.

Well done to all players and coaches!

Today at ISM we host Faith basketball teams for the first

time this season. The matches against Faith are always

tight entertaining games of a high standard. JV games will

start from 4:00 P.M. at HS gym and the Varsity games will

start with the girls match at 4:00 P.M. followed by the

    boys in the MS Gym.

BEARCATS RUGBY 10s: ISM will host our own rugby tour-

nament with 2 schools from China and 1 school from Japan

flying in to play this weekend. The Bearcats Rugby 10s

tournament games was played on Thursday, December 01

and Friday, December 02 afterschool and all day on Satur-

day, December 03. It is going to be a great event for the

development of our rugby program at ISM. We hope that

that the ISM community can come out and support our JV

and Varsity teams as they battle against Dulwich College

Shanghai and Beijing and Canadian Academy Kobe, Japan.

IASAS RUGBY/TOUCH HOUSING: The next fantastic ISM

Special event is on the horizon. We host rugby/touch on

February 1 to 5, 2012 and 140 athletes require housing for

this event. All rugby and touch athletes have been given a

housing letter last week at practice and I would also make

a request for all athletes that were housed in Singapore

recently that we need your support to reciprocate the hos-

pitality given to you by housing for IASAS Rugby/Touch.

The housing letter can be accessed via the ATAC blog or

there is a link to it on the IASAS Rugby/Touch page. Hous-

ing letters are due in by December 12.

Bearcats Tennis: Congratulations to the MS boys Division B

Tennis Team who won their third match of the season last

week vs. Ateneo 5-0. They play LaSalle this coming week, in

the 4th match of the season. The MS Boys A team played

their first match last week vs. LaSalle Green Hills and had a

    good win also, 5-0.
