Inside this issue:
What a busy couple of weeks! Our students have excelled in the pool with representation at District Swimming and Valley Championships. Congratulations to Amy Neilsen and Connor Thornton on qualifying to attend Regional trials today and to the whole team who won overall at Valley Championships against Woodford and Mt Kilcoy. Thank you to Mr Book, Mrs Chambers and Mrs Thornton for your hard work and support of the students at these carnivals. Well done to Lucy Bennett who has made the District Softball side and will attend Regional on 16 March. Good luck to our students who will be attending District trials for Netball, Rugby League and Soccer over the next 2 weeks.
Ticket for the P&C Phantom Race Day are
available from the office.
Only pre-paid ticket
holders will be admitted.
FIRE HYDRANT UPGRADE
Our 14th class has settled in well and our Prep students have transitioned up to the main school for eating and playing during breaks. The construction work for the fire hydrant upgrade has been a constant focus for some of our students. I would like to congratulate all of the students for their respect and responsibility as the area of work has moved a little each day and sometimes blocked their usual access to their play area.
CAMP NEWS
Our Year 5 and 6 camp is now full. Parents can notify the school if they would like to have their child’s name added to the waiting list. There will be some fundraising that will begin to support the cost of this camp. As usual a percent-age of the funds raised will go to the camp and the rest will go to the student council or the P&C to ensure that our whole school community benefits from the efforts of our students and community.
STOP, DROP & GO
Thank you to all the parents who have been using the “Stop, Drop and Go” ap-propriately. We all appreciate when everyone stays in their car and moves to the very front of the space when they can. The area works extremely well and traffic is kept flowing.

P&C AGM Next Monday 9 March is the P&C Annual Gen-eral Meeting. We invite all parents and community members to come along and be a part of helping guide the direction of the school. Nomination forms are available from the office

tion.

UNIFORM SHOP The P&C would like to announce that the for-mal shirts have arrived. Orders can now be collected from the Uni-form Shop on Tuesdays between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm. Alternative arrangements can be made to collect from the office if requested.
Last Friday, 18 students from grades 3-6
competed against Woodford and Mt Kilcoy in
the Annual Valley Championships Swim-
ming Carnival.
All students did our school proud, putting in
100%, showing great sportsmanship and
outstanding behaviour throughout the day.
Once again, Kilcoy State School was
victorious!
Amy Neilsen and Josh Bennett were
named as our Kilcoy State School All-Stars.
