Spring Show: Yesterday students had a fantastic day living out our vision of being ‘creative’. Thank you to everyone who contributed to make it a fantastic day.

Teacher Strike: NZEI Teachers Union full day strike on 15 November. School will be closed on the 15th November. NZEI has raised some important issues regarding the future of education for our learners in New Zealand. Attached to todays newsletter is a brief summary of some of these issues.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Thank you to all those families who have sent along gifts for our Christmas Child shoeboxes. We are sure there will be some very excited children when they open their boxes. We sent away 6 boxes this week. Thank you for making a child happy. From the Community Council

End of Year: Our final day for 2018 is Friday 14th December. Our final Year 6 assembly is scheduled for 12.00 noon. School closes at 12.30 pm.

School will be open again on Monday 17 December until 12pm. Students who attend will assist with final packing up, including relocation of resources, re-organisation of rooms and general tidying. Attendance is not compulsory.

Head lice – These insects continue to be the frustration of many homes and schools. Please remember to check all family members hair weekly using a nit comb. This practise reduces time and money if head lice are found. They can be controlled but the process does take time.
