CARBAURA RIMSThe Carbaura is a performance Carbon Aero rim for the sportive rider. Structural Carbon rims with bonded aluminium clincher (U) sections to retain the main benefits that a Carbon rim provides, whilst also combining the braking performance that an Aluminium rim delivers.

The Carbaura rims neat-slick finish features a classic 3K Carbon top weave, with white transfer decals all protected with a satin clearcoat.

SPOKESThe Halo Aero spokes used are both light weight and provide a degree of compliance which benefits comfort levels over poor road surfaces.

Front wheels feature 20H Radial spoking, providing a lightweight, stable Aero structure with lateral rigidity.

Rear wheels feature the highly unusual 16/8E spoke configuration. The hub offers an extra wide offset left hand non drive spoke flange (to increase the A-frame type support structure of the spokes to the rim) and counter balances the, common,resulting uneven spoke tension problem by having only 8 spokes on the heavily offset side Vs 16 on the almost straight dished drive side.The rim and the hub have been specially drilled to accommodate the 16/8E configuration to result in the spokes being Evenly spaced in the rims circumference.

All of the rear spokes are crossed to provide a tangential structure to spread the drive torque throughout all of the 24 spokes (rather than having some spokes in a radial configuration that are unable to effectively help transfer torque drive from the hub to the rim).

Halos theory being that if you spread the drive torque over all 24 of the rear spokes (rather than just some of the spokes on the drive side alone), then this further divides it up, and thus reduces the torque transferred to each spoke.

With recent advances in 10 and 11 speed gearing, its now possible to get a wide range of gearing while using just a single, compact chainring and the Micro Guide. Designed for 28-32t chainrings and incorporating MRPs patented integrated skid, the Micro is a blessing for aggressive all-mountain and 29 riders who were previously unwilling to give up a low gear. The modular skid design of the Micro allows the user to remove it when deemed unnecessary for the terrain, but retain the lower chain retention function of the guide.
