Feeds: News vs. Live– News Feed is the Facebook Black Box of Interestingness– Live Feed is ALL content from a Facebook-selected set of 250 connections

Digg-style FB Connect Share widget (fb:share-button)– Share Analytics: clicks, likes, comments, etc– API call: links.getStats– FQL table: link_stat

Action links on Feed Stories – only one link used

November 2009 – Stream Updates

Stream publishing API reduced to:– stream.publish– Facebook.streamPublish– FB.Connect.streamPublishOther API calls will be unsupported after December 20, 2009

Platform Guidelines update:– Only show dialog on explicit user “Share” action

Display changes:– 90px images– Single action link, max 25 characters (already in effect)– No “formatting” characters– See More link

Email - Apps can request access to primary email addresses

– Request user flow not yet published by Facebook– 30 days after launch, the notifications API will be removed

New Share dialog – unified message composer– Apps can populate the first recipient UID only

Canvas page chrome will change based on application

Invites – will appear in an Inbox section

Verified Applications program ends– All apps will be subject to the Verified App standards.– Existing Verified Apps will be refunded pro-rata.

Buh-bye, Profile Boxes!– And the Boxes tab. And Info sections.– Application tabs will be the only profile integration point

Application Tab width– Will change from 760px to ~520px– Final width not yet confirmed
