CDP Review reaffirms the importance of

data, translating into CDPii’s

recommendation to setup the IMUO

CDP Review CDP ii (2014- 2025)

On liveability: “…will require a follow-up that include the

setting up of baseline indicators that will pave the way

for a Quality of Life Indicators in Iskandar Malaysia. The

indicators aim to ensure balanced development

between the social, economic and environmental.”

On planning: “Establishing baseline data to support

development planning and to derive economic

assumptions. New division on data collection, focus

groups, perception surveys, public views and research

via an online website to aid progress reporting.”

Develop the Iskandar Malaysia

Urban Observatory (IMUO) as

the key project in Big Move 5

• A ‘single window’ – to keep and analyse

data and resources in a smart city

environment; and

• A post sustainability platform for easy

access of analysing data and resources

which translate knowledge into policy and

informed decision making.

Background of IMUO …what?

Page 10: iskandar malaysia urban observatory (imuo)

Lack of consistent and reliable data for:-

• Informed decision planning, and

• Measurement of city outcome and indexes

Background of IMUO …why?

Page 11: iskandar malaysia urban observatory (imuo)

• Government : revolutionised public sectors

delivery services; transparency in nation decision

making and outcome measurement;

• Businesses : effective and improve investments

& business strategies and decision; and
