AUTOMATICA is the international trade fair for automation and mechatronics. It presents theworld’s largest range of robotics, key installationand handling technologies, industrial image processing and all the corresponding technologies. AUTOMATICA displays product innovations andcomprehensive solutions for each production related challenge, addressing users of automation technology at the same time.

The established collaboration between Intersolarand AUTOMATICA, both leading trade fairs in their business segments, is therefore the logical consequence following convergence of the two industry branches. For, behind the use of environmentally friendly solar energy, the most modern production and assembly plants are imple-mented to cover the yearly increasing requirements.

The advantages of increasing automation benefitthe solar industry by further improving quality andsatisfying globally rising demand.

“The specific topics examined by Intersolar, which were expanded in2009 with photovoltaic production and technology, allow an unparalleledoverview of the entire solar technology valued added chain. Thanks toclear organization of the individual areas, target groups are addressed in an optimal way. This makes Intersolar the solar industry’s most important partner.” Heinz KundertPresident of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) Europe, Brussels

“Intersolar has established itself as the international meeting point for thesolar industry. No other event brings together so many people in the solarfield. The trade fair provides a unique opportunity to make and maintain international contacts in person.” Georg SalvamoserPresident of the German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar), Berlin

“The strong growth in exhibitor and visitor numbers, even in 2009,underlines Intersolar's leading role as the largest solar trade fairworldwide. The Innovation Exchange, the Job & Career Forum andspecial exhibitions, such as that which focused on "Solarhaus 50+",enable Intersolar not only to provide a comprehensive overview of international markets, but also make it a market place and motivatingforce for current industry trends.”Gerhard Stryi-HippDirector of the German Solar Thermal Technology Platform (DSTTP)Director of Energy Policy, Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, Freiburg i. Br.

“Intersolar interconnects the important players in the internationalsolar industry in a particularly comprehensive way - from companiesthrough associations to the media. This is why, today, it is the leadinginternational trade fair for the entire solar industry, from solar thermaltechnology to photovoltaics, and provides us with an especially valuable forum. The size and international nature of the trade fairmean that it acts as a way marker for politics and the media; we are, of course, keen to exploit this, both in Europe and the USA.” Olivier DrückePresident of European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF), Brussels

“Both in Europe and the USA, Intersolar reflects a highly dynamic industry with all its trends and technological innovations. It is now tradition for companies to present their latest developments here, andthey also exchange information about new products and services, as wellas the latest market developments. At the same time, the conferences andcongresses which accompany the trade fair enable it to attract researchersand scientists from all over the world. That is why Intersolar is one of the

most important dates in the calendar for us as well.”Prof. Dr. Eicke Weber

Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, Freiburg i. Br.

INTERSOLAR –OVER 15 YEARS EXPERIENCE

CONNECTING SOLAR BUSINESS

Since the first time Intersolar opened its doors in 1991, the trade fair has enjoyed growing prominence across the world. As the international platform for solar technology, it reflects the dynamic development along the entire value added chain inthe areas of photovoltaics and solar thermal technology – and therefore encompasses far more than any other event.

Intersolar brings people and markets together under the guiding principle, “Connecting Solar Business“. And as trade visitors from over 145 countries have confirmed: no other event brings together so many decision makers from industry, trade and commerce with solar industry manufacturers, suppliers, institutes and associations. The world’s leading solar tradefair therefore facilitates the targeted, personal exchange of valuable information relating to products, markets and services.

But as the solar industry's most important international platform, Intersolar offers far more than this: The Innovation Exchange provides the backdrop for conferral of the Intersolar AWARD, presented each year for the most outstanding innovations in the categories “photovoltaics” and “solar thermal technology”. The Job & Career Forum brings employers and job hunters into direct contact at the fair. A conference program, which is designed to complement the trade fair, comprises a whole host of presentations and workshops which shed light on the latest hot topics in the industry.

Intersolar also applies its guiding principles to new, up-and-coming solar markets. Nine international representative officesand the sister fair, Intersolar North America, which took place for the second time in July 2009 to great acclaim, actively promote international exchange between the solar industry’s most important target markets.

Over 15 years experience make Intersolar the ideal partner for winning new customers and maintaining existing business relationships worldwide.
