Forza SEPA enhancementThis Forza Consulting enhancement ensures that your JD Edwards environment is ready for the SEPA payment system. Advantages of the Forza SEPA enhancement:

The required changes are supported to a large extent by the standard JD Edwards software. Oracle has provided a number of ESUs for the modifications that are needed within the JD Edwards software. These modifications are up-to-date for the releases from JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 and World A7.3 or A9.1.

Maintenance of JD Edwards releases older than 9.0 has now ceased. This means that the necessary SEPA modifications are either not or only partially available. When an upgrade to one of the `9` releases is not possible, your environment may be made SEPA compliant by selectively installing objects from ESUs, in

combination with some modifications. Forza Consulting can support you in this process..

Improved payment processes with the Forza SEPA enhancementWhile implementing SEPA it became evident to us that several improvements needed to be applied to JD Edwards objects. The changes that have been made can be divided into modifications to the outgoing creditor payment process (SEPA Credit Transfer, SCT) and the incoming direct debits process (SEPA Direct Debit, SDD). These improvements ensure that you have full control over your payment transactions.

Currently one general format applies for SCT, which has specific differences for each country and ultimately also has its own interpretation at each bank. In our solution we have ensured that the file will be accepted by all banks. And should the format be changed in the future, then we will also change this for you.

Furthermore the XML file is currently not protected against manipulation. You may be aware that the present Clieop file is protected via a so-called account number control sum. This protection no longer exists within SEPA. To still ensure that the payment process is well protected, we have developed a hash total

(SHA 256) modification for the XML file. This guarantees integrity within your payment system in two ways:

a�It guarantees that the payments that you have approved are also actually carried out. No adjustment can be performed on amounts, bank account numbers etc., without another hash total being created.a�Upon entry into the bank’s software a similar

hash total is generated (depending on the bank). This ensures that the file that you have produced is processed without modifications. Even the smallest modification in the file gives a different hash total.

JD Edwards and SEPAThe bank payment system will change radically at the beginning of 2014.

Account number, payment and direct debit formats that are used within

the payment system will be adapted to the new European (SEPA) format.

Modifications within your JD Edwards environment will form an integral part

of this when introducing SEPA into your company.

SEPA impact analysisForza Consulting has specialists who can analyse the impact for your organization of this radical change in the payment system with regard to JD Edwards. We provide a complete overview of the required implementation activities within JD Edwards and the associated planning, during a workshop of half a day.

The standard direct debit process has a number of limitations. These concern the extent to which checks can be carried out, the probability of errors in the process and the sequence in which process steps are taken. Furthermore it is compulsory to use Oracle BI/Publisher. We have developed a completely new direct debit process with the following characteristics:a�Interactive error handling, so that you are not afterwards confronted with errorsaOne workbench for all activities.a�Improved mandate registration, including the capture of the scanned returned

mandate forms and the maintenance of mandates for several creditor IDs.a�Software that ensures a correct XML message. The collection batches are grouped

by the correct elements (such as first and recurring direct debits) and executed on the dates you require.a�The invoices are only settled upon receipt of the money at the bank.a�No compulsory use of Oracle BI Publisher.a�The Forza SEPA enhancement can be integrated with the Bank and Cash

Management (BCM) module, but also functions standalone.
