The program provides opportunities to unemployed adults, as well as graduating high school seniors, to secure jobs with industry leading contractors.

Is the program statewide? Yes, all prime and sub-contractors working on FDOT projects throughout the state are eligible to participate in this program.

What is the overall program goal? • Recruit experienced and entry level workers to the roadway construction industry• Contact or enroll more than 100 people for On-the-Job Training positions• Provide job opportunities for unemployed minority and female adults• Increase job opportunities for veterans• Provide job opportunities to graduating high school seniors

Is this program free to the contractor and job seekers? Yes, this program is free to contractors and job candidates.

How are job candidates recruited?Candidates are primarily recruited through job fairs, career resource centers, internet, schools, local non-profit agencies and Construction Career Days events.

How does the program work? Contractors may register for the OnBoard4Jobs Construction Careers Program online at www.OnBoard4Jobs.com, send an email to [email protected] or call 1-866-662-6273, ext. 3. A member from the team will contact you to discuss your hiring needs such as general types of work, locations and if you have OJT requirements to fulfill. The project team will search the database of qualified candidates and will send you resumes for consideration. You may contact the candidate directly for additional information or to interview. All we ask is you let us know if you interview and/or hire a candidate we provide; this is tracked for FDOT reporting.

Who is facilitating the program? The Florida Department of Transportation and Quest Corporation of America (Quest) have collaborated since 2014, to establish, coordinate and facilitate the OnBoard4Jobs Construction Careers Program.
