Yogi Gupta’s Home and Residence

An avatar of Christ and Krishna such as YogiGupta ultimately resides atomically in every livingcell and heart of the Universe. He lives astrally incolor or materialized matter manifested in multiplelocations. Yet Masters, Guruji included, have beengiven geographic domains in which to reside for apredominating duty, a “Yagna sacrifice” as Gurujicalled it. Therefore Manikoot Mountain, LaxmanJhula, Rishikesh was given to Guruji, to his gover-norship, guidance and maintenance of God’s “HolyScience” – Yoga.

The Valley of Saints, is the home of Hanuman, who saved Rama’s brother Laxman with the San-jivani Booti herb. It is the home of Maha AvatarBabaji and the home of Lord Siva and Parvati’swedding party. It is the home of Neel Kanta Moun-tain. It is mostly the home of the Vedic hymns andis home of yoga itself. It is the residing locationof many disembodied saints. This was verified tome by Guruji in 2010 when I led a pilgrimage forthose interested to the Maha Khumba Mela of thatyear, to which this location is also home. I wrotethe above description of this valley for Guruji’s ap-proval before advertising the pilgrimage as: “MahatKumbha Mela Yagna Tapasya Tour.” Guruji waselated that this proposal would be made and as-sured me that no matter how many pilgrims cameto Omkeshwar Ashram Temples and Guest House, provision would be made to house them. As it was, only two souls came with me to Khumba Mela, butthey had life transforming experiences.

Guruji was and still is custodian of realyoga.

His bodily absence only makes him morepowerful through the spirit – the “Holy Ghost”– for those whose faith and practices havecontinued unbroken and devoted to him sincehis Maha Samadhi. Guruji is still guiding thepujarees, priests and pundits at the Missionand his presence continues daily there – stilleffulgent and omnipresent. One should notthink Guruji has gone anywhere. He is stillhere and, for a disciple, available by GuruJapa any time and anywhere – always.

For those who were not disciples or never methim, he can be accessed by Sandya Vandan or sim-ply by studying his books and teachings, as we arepublishing in this newsletter. Devotion to thesewords (teachings) brings to any needful soul recog-nition and guidance by Guruji, just as multitudeshave benefited from the teachings of Christ, Kr-ishna, Buddha, etc.

During Shradha and Navaratra Guruji will bepresent as always to guide the deceased manes (soulsof ancestors) successfully on their journey in theAfterworld and to fulfill all the heart’s desires asrequested to Durga Ma during Navaratra.

What was in “The Beginning shall be inthe End.”

Guruji is always present at the Mission, that ishis job. The Mission channels Heaven’s energy onEarth, as Laxman Jhula, Rishikesh is the locationof the most powerful spiritual energy on MotherDurga’s Earth. In 2009-2010, when I made a pil-grimage to his main temples on both sides of theGanga River, Guruji told me to make sure that Iclimbed to the top spire of each one. I realized thatif you draw a line out from each peak spire the linesmade a perfect union and vortex over the most pow-erful rapids on the Mother Ganga River, before Shestraightens and calms toward Rishikesh and Harid-war. When I related this to him he smiled and said,“This is what helps keep Heaven and Earth just aswhen Shanti Path Vigil began.” When Guruji in-augurated the Shanti Path is the time when theimminent nuclear war between India and Pakistanshrank away and ceased.

Guruji through his teachings is alive, active andpresent, just use a little discipline and take the timeto enact what he has given through his teachings. This will always bear fruit of success. Great Mas-ters are always here to help solve the dilemmas oftheir spiritual children and to guide them through

their individual karmas. As Jesus Christ told us,there are just two prerequisites, “Ask and ye shallreceive,” and “Seek and ye shall find.”

Var-Sot-Sarg and Gaya Shradhas

The following are disciple notes from Yogi Gupta’sYoga Bible course, given July 8-25, 1999. Var-Sot-Sarg Shradha and Gaya Shradha are more elaborateforms of shradha than the yearly shradha describedabove, which are also available from the Mission.

Guruji said,Oh Lord, please explain to me the manner of

performance of Var-Sot-Sarg Shradha. The Lord said,On the 11th day, go to the bank of the river and

request the shradha to be performed on the bank ofthe river. He should salute the brahmin priest whois well learned in scriptures and invite the Brahminpriest to liberate the preta.

This is performed to free the souls and deceasedancestors from their miserable plight. Ghosts andgoblins suffer from their unfulfilled desires. A per-son can have shradha done in the future for them-selves. The best thing is to do for yourself (and notdepend on their children to do it). Many childrenare not interested in the hereafter, only the moneyin the bank.

With the appropriate mantras from the scrip-tures, the brahmin priest performs the shradha withthe pinda. Statues have to be made. A statue ofVishnu has to be made of gold, a statue of Brahmamade of silver, a statue of Siva made of copper, anda statue of Yama made of steel. The statues can besmall or large according to your means.

Where this altar is prepared:

Page 5: is an essential and necessary duty in life. Through 2014 ...yogiguptasociety.org/files/2014/09/newsletterVol2Issue6-CorrectedAddress.pdf · Sarg Shradha and Gaya Shradha are more

On the west side, place four pots filled withwater, mango leaves and those things prescribedin scriptures. On the west side should be a potfilled with Ganges water and the statue of Vishnuwrapped in yellow silk should be placed on top. Onthe east side, a pot filled with milk and water andthe stature of Brahma wrapped in white silk shouldbe placed on top. On the north side, a pot shouldbe filled with ghee mixed with honey and the statueof Rudra (Siva) wrapped in red silk placed on top.On the south side, a pot full of water and a statueof Yama dressed in black silk should be establishedon top. In the center is the altar table, 6 inches highwith the four colors in the center. The deities areestablished there. The priest should sit facing southand offer tarpana (offering into the fire), and invokethe four deities with havan. Then the shradha hasto be performed.

In order to liberate the soul of the deceasedperson, a milch cow has to be donated to the priest, because the fruits go to the preta. The priest is themouthpiece. Whatever you give to the priest orthe Guru he uses for God’s work. The priest says,“The cow is given to me just for your benefit, forthe spiritual credits and happiness of the preta.”Whatever articles that you give have to be given tothat priest. He should be given a pot made of whitemetal filled with ghee, and he should be given thosethings that the preta liked the most.

This only has to be done once in the life, butdon’t wait for the last minute. Things which youwant to do tomorrow, do today. Things which youwant to do today you should do right now.

The benefits of Var-Sot-Sarg Shradha go backmore than twelve generations and helps those evenin Heaven. The soul gets so many spiritual cred-its which entitles him to self-realization, providedyou have the services of an experienced priest. Itis expensive and takes weeks and weeks, but youhave to perform your spiritual obligations to yourancestors.

The priest performing shradha for the benefitof the soul of the deceased ancestor invites the pres-ence of Vishnu, Siva, and Brahma. Then the priestperforms shradha in order to liberate the soul ofthe deceased ancestors. A person requests shradhaon your behalf and he will give a cow on your be-half to the priest. At the same time, the personshould give to the priest those ornaments and vehi-cles which the deceased person was using, the thingswhich he loved most. The essence is that the soulof the deceased ancestor be satisfied. So charity isgiven and put on the bed. By giving in charity to

the priest all the things in the immediate possessionof the person, then the preta is invoked to occupythat bed. A pot with ghee and seven types of grainsand whatever the person loved, vegetables, sesameseed.

Any other rituals which could not be performedcan be included at time of shradha, so any mistakeis made good at time of shradha.

All those articles should be placed on the bedwhere the pinda is prepared. Then the priest’sfeet should be worshiped with clothes, sandalwood, food, and milk, because the priest is the vehiclethough which the soul receives. At that time, who-ever is performing the shradha, i.e., the son, placesthe pinda on the bed. In this way a person’s bedis given to the Brahmin priest. The son says, ”OhBrahmin priest, I am offering to you the bed of thesoul of the deceased ancestors and all the things onit that go with the bed.” Now the brahmin priestshould be given that bed. Then the son should goaround the bed. Thus the shradha comes to an end.

By this method prescribed by scriptures thepreta attains liberation (freed from Preta Loka) andmoves to Pitrie Loka. Pitrie Loka occupies a posi-tion near the gods.

During this Var-Sot-Sarg Shradha, the pres-ence of all the pitries is invoked with the help ofthe mantras by the priest and they are offered aseat. Then puja is done with havan and the bull

Page 6: is an essential and necessary duty in life. Through 2014 ...yogiguptasociety.org/files/2014/09/newsletterVol2Issue6-CorrectedAddress.pdf · Sarg Shradha and Gaya Shradha are more

takes part and the cow. Then colorful thread istied around the bull and the cow, like bridegroomand bride, and you have to wash them. Then youshould do puja of the bull and cow with incense. Then go around bull and cow. Then on the rightside of the bull put a trident, on its left side a su-darsan chakra and then it is set free. Then the sonshould recite, “Oh bull, you are the manifestationof Dharma, the constitution of the divine world andcreation. Brahma created you first.” (Before creat-ing the world you have to have a government.) “Soyou have been liberated. Help us.”

So chant the mantra and then the bull and thecow are set free. Persons without a son should havethe priest perform Var-Sot-Sarg Shradha for them-selves. It is not easy to find a person who can per-form it. It is a very technical ceremony.

The bull should have red eyes, yellowish colorhooves, a reddish stomach and a white back. Acow and a bull has to be presented to the Brahminpriest, three years old, healthy, red color, and war-rior class if the preta belongs to the warrior class. For a preta of the business class, the bull shouldbe yellow color. If soul is of the serving class, thebull should be dark. A bull which is yellowish withwhite tail and hooves (ping varsh) is most loved bypitries. Remember, the bull means Dharma, whichmeans what a person should do and what a personshould not do. If the feet, tail and mouth of thebull is white and other part is light, it is known asneel varsh. A red bull, with pale mouth and bluishfeet is known as vatni. A ni pinga bull is all yel-lowish color. So one has to find the type of bull togive in shradha. A bull whose color is ... and haswhite tilak on the forehead is babhrunee. The bullwhose whole body is bluish is known as mahanee. These are subdivided into five groups. Such typesof bulls are best which are set free. It is brought tothe priest who sets it free. Certain marks are puton it [to show] that it is very religious and nobodyshould hurt it. The cow stays with the brahmin.

A person, a householder should desire manysons as many as possible, because all of them maynot turn out to be good. At least one of them mayperform the Gaya Shradha. Ashes are collected andtaken to Gaya on the Ganges and shradha is per-formed at Gaya too. Person in all of India, theirchildren perform Gaya Shradha. They keep theashes in a jar and then take it to Gaya. If a per-son does not have a son he should do it himself. The son who performs Gaya Shradha is consideredvery religious and respected because he dischargeshis spiritual obligation to the ancestors.

Now if the Var-Sot-Sarg Shradha is performed, the souls of the deceased ancestors for 21 genera-tions, and souls of deceased ancestors which havebeen suffering in the hells, very painful, like Rau-rau, are liberated. It is a spiritual credit to the soul,no matter where they are.

It does not matter that the soul is not cre-mated, when the shradha is done, the soul is in-voked and also Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. If thesouls have been in heaven, they always like Var-Sot-Sarg Shradha. Thy always aspire that someonewill perform it. This shradha takes about a year, because millions and millions of japas have to bedone.

America is a materialistic country, while Indiais a spiritual country, but the Divine Constitutionis for everybody. No matter who you are we aredescendants of the same ancestors, not monkeys. From science we think we have come up from brutes, but the Vedas say we have come down from gods. Before, there were children born without cohabita-tion.

The souls of the ancestors in Heaven also likethis shradha. For sure, this shradha gives liberationto the souls from the wheel of birth and death. Toget self-realization you need certain spiritual cred-its. What they could not do in their life, you cando for them. [This is what scriptures say,] I am justtranslating the scriptures.

Yoga and NutritionYogi Gupta’s Original Green Drink

Celery is a member of the Umbelliferae family, botanical name Apium graveolens. Guruji, whenhe first introduced juicing fruits and vegetables toAmerica had very simple solo juices he recommendedto his students as they would transition into moresatvic and vegetarian diets. The first was probablygrape juice, as inspired by his three-day grape cureprogram, followed by orange juice, grapefruit juice, apple juice and pineapple juice.

But then came celery juice. He recommendedcelery juice as a tonic for overhaul and maintenanceof the blood and bile systems. He recommendeddrinking one quart per week, with the juice of alarge or two medium-sized lemons or limes addedimmediately after juicing. Celery juice, if madeproperly, will last one week in the refrigerator iflemon or lime juice has been added.

This was simple maintenance and not hard todo as celery juices quite easily. Later, with spe-

cific nature cure programs and the 30-day, 20-dayand 6-day rejuvenation programs, Guruji, throughhis Third Eye, developed much more concentratedcombinations of green juices for specific conditionsand results. Oddly, celery was not included in thosegreen juice combinations.

But nutritionally, celery is a super-food, thebest supplier of natural sodium and hydration inSummer heat. It is a relative of parsley, parsnipsand carrots. It also has a large root, which, if al-lowed to mature, is used widely in soups and stewsor grated for slaw or relish. Celery is high in vitaminA and trace minerals, and, oddly for a vegetable, Bvitamins. Also, if eaten raw, it is high in fiber andgreat for cleaning the colon.

Celery is a great snack food and if it is a littlebit too bitter, swabbing some peanut butter or othernut butter on it or cream cheese with some olivesor pimentos, etc., is considered gourmet food.

But if time or dollars are short for other greenjuices, know that the bile–blood system can be greatlyaided by just celery juice alone, Guruji’s originalchoice of green juice. Also, the best, most tasty typeof celery of today is pascal celery, usually availableat this time of year (Summertime).
