THERE WILL BE FOAM If you’re not accustomed to Belgian biers, you may be surprised by the amount of head with which your bier is served. A large portion of the experience of Belgian biers is olfactory and the flavor of the bier is greatly impacted by what your nose is doing at the time of quaffing. Please realize this is how the brewer intended the bier to be served and we go through great lengths to make each pour as proper as possible. 111. This is why we include pour-sizes on our menus so you can be assured that your pour is intentional. Many of our imported glasses even feature “pour lines” that indicate where the liquid portion of the bier should be! It’s as integral as frites, cafés, and bicycles. 1.WE DON ’T SERVE P INTS

Every Belgian brewery creates a specific, custom glass for each of their

biers. The shape and size of a glass can drastically alter the appearance, aroma and taste of a bier, which is why we go

through great lengths to import the “proper” glass supplied by the brewers of

the biers we carry. Just check out the racks of glasses behind our bar to see for yourself. Now it’s time to choose a

bier and raise a (proper) glass!

Some of the biers we source are so rare that in some cases, our cafés are the only place in the world that you’ll be able to try one.

Look for these symbols throughout the portfolio.

11.THERE WILL BE FOAM

If you’re not accustomed to Belgian biers, you may be surprised by the amount of head with which your bier is served. A

large portion of the experience of Belgian biers is olfactory and the flavor of the bier is greatly impacted by what

your nose is doing at the time of quaffing. Please realize this is how the brewer intended the bier to be served and we go through great lengths to

make each pour as proper as possible.

therefore poured in smaller quantities than the more sessionable biers you

may be used to. This is why we include pour-sizes on our menus so you can be assured that your pour is intentional. Many of our imported glasses even

feature “pour lines” that indicate where the liquid portion of the bier should be!

HIGH SPEED WIT | 5% 6ERTVELDE, BELGIUM: From our friends at Brouwerij Van Steenberge, this robust and round witbier tastes of fresh orange, lemon, and coriander. SEASONAL SAISON SERIES SPRING ‘19 | 5.5% 6CHICAGO, IL: We're so grateful to our friends at Whiner Beer Company for this expertly dry-hopped, peach-perfect addition to our collaborative Saison Series. Soft, floral honey and hints of ripe stone fruit are balanced beautifully by fresh, crisp pops of Ekuanot, Loral, and Citra hops, resulting in a bier thats at once approchable and unique, juicy and refreshing. 44CL $6 / CARAFE $16

GULDEN DRAAK | 10.5%ERTVELDE, BELGIUM: The uniquely dark tripel that made the Brouwerij Van Steenberge famous! (And infamous.) Its sweet dark fruits and toffee-like sweetness balance perfectly with a slight hoppiness, making this decadent bier deceptively drinkable. 25CL $7.5

CENTRAAL QUADDER BOURBON BARREL AGED | 10% 6AMHERST, WI: Central Waters took our Quadder and tucked it into bourbon barrels for a nice long hibernation. It woke up sexy and complex, with notes of vanilla, oak, dark, rich fruit, mahogany and leather. Frankly, there just aren't enough "o's" in smooth to do it justice. 25CL $7.5 / CARAFE $17

SINGLES, BLONDES, & GOLDEN ALES

KWAREMONT BLOND | 6.6%BAVIKHOVE, BELGIUM: This refreshingly light-bodied, sweet and spicy creation is brewed in honor of one of the most difficult climbs of the Tour de Flanders, the Oude Kwaremont. Its 6.6% ABV reflects the average degree of incline on its steepest, cobblestone-iest stretch. We promise it’s a lot less work to drink than it is to ride. (And possibly even more satisfying!) 25CL $7

WHEATS

FLORIS CHOCOLAT | 4.2% 3MELLE, BELGIUM: Finally, a chocolate bier that allows you to keep your wits about you—literally. This flavorful witbier pairs quirky kicks of orangey-citrus with big, candybar bursts of milk and dark chocolate. Both unique and approachable, think of this treat as the bier version of Zooey Deschanel’s “Jessica Day.” 25CL $8

LAGERS & PILSNERS

PRAGA PREMIUM PILS | 4.7%ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE, CZECH REPUBLIC: Slightly more malt-forward and complex than most Czech pilsners (though just as traditional and clean) with notes of honeysuckle balanced by soft, spicy noble hops. 30CL $5 / 50CL $7

IPAS & BELGIAN IPAS

HOUBLON CHOUFFE | 9%ACHOUFFE, BELGIUM: The Chouffe gnomes may be little, but they have big personalities and infinite tricks. This Belgian brew combines three American and European hop varieties with Belgian yeasts to create a cross between a double IPA and a Belgian Tripel. Aromas of citrus and yeast introduce complex flavors, spicy hop bitterness, slightly sweet malts and notes of lemon and banana. 25CL $9

AMBERS & BROWN ALES

LAKEFRONT FIXED GEAR | 6.8%MILWAUKEE, WI: A Wisconsin-brewed, dry-hopped American red ale that builds citric and grapefruit hops onto a rich, malty body. 44CL $6

DUBBELS

GRIMBERGEN DUBBEL | 6.5%MECHELEN, BELGIUM: A true Belgian Dubbel. This dark burgundy, full-bodied brew is sweetened with rich malts and dark Belgian candi sugar. A sweet toffee taste rounds it out, met by hints of raisins with a warm, brandy-like finish. 30CL $6.5

TRIPELS

UNIBROUE LA FIN DU MONDE | 9%QUEBEC, CANADA: A brew to carry with you to the end of the world and back: strong, golden and seductive as sin with champagne-like effervescence, subtle heat, and whispers of wild spices, honey nut malts and floral hops. 33CL $6.5

QUADRUPELS

ST. BERNARDUS ABT 12 | 10%WATOU, BELGIUM: Really, truly, one of the of the best biers in the world. A clone and yeast cousin of an extremely rare Trappist bier not exported to the US, this is one to savor. A rich, bold brew with notes of black currant, caramel, coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and dark rum. 25CL $9

FRUITY & CIDERS

RAMBORN CASCADE | 7.4% 5BORN, LUXEMBOURG: American-grown, whole-cone Cascade hops take this unique, crisp, semi-dry Luxembourgish cider to another level, adding pops of pine and citrus to its delicious blend of Old World pear aromas and flavors. 30CL $8

NEXT DOOR BREWING THE GNOME NEXT DOOR | 4.8% 6

MADISON, WIOur friends next door have done the unthinkable:

created a juicy, palatable IPA that hop heads and hop naysayers alike can get behind. Effervescent and lemon-zest-tinged with the slightest

hint of vanilla in its malt backbone, we're convinced no mere mortal could have made it. Surely Brewmaster Dave had some help

from a handful of mischievous hop gnomes! 30CL $6.5 / CARAFE $17

OCTOPI HOP “BROCKET” | 6.5% 6MADISON, WI

It's not rocket science, but bier science that makes this specially- brewed Citra and Simcoe double dry-hopped IPA bright, juicy and refreshing with a balanced bitterness that puts all those

overtly-alpha, "two-thousand-and-late" IPAs to shame. 30CL $6.5 / CARAFE $17

UNTITLED ART SPECIALTY LINE | ABV VARIESWAUNAKEE, WI: Stagnation is death, dear bier drinkers, so enjoy this ever-evolving, fresh and formidable line from our pals at Untitled Art! Be sure to grab one up while supplies last! ASK ABOUT OUR CURRENT SELECTION!

KARBEN4 SPECIALTIES | ABV VARIESMADISON, WI: The brewery you know and love has been kind enough to trust us with some truly one-of-a-kind biers from their already one-of-a-kind lineup. The catch? These small-batch brews come in limited quantities, so we'll be changing them up more frequently than you changed your major during freshman year. ASK ABOUT OUR CURRENT SELECTION!
