How Clean Should Our Church Be?

Christmas at St. Mary’s

St. Mary School Office: 408.842.2827 Religious Education: 408.847.2652

Weekend Liturgy Questions/Comments 11/6/16 1. Our Gospel challenges us to consider what happens after our

earthly life has ended. The Church proclaims, life is changed, not ended.

2. We have God’s promise of heaven if we live a faith-filled life. Whom do we know whose life is a model of faith?

3. As we continue through the Month of our Faithful Departed, we can incorporate rituals to honor our beloved dead both in our homes and personal prayer time. Display pictures of loved ones on a table covered with a white cloth and candles, make holy cards, visit the cemetery, or write a litany prayer of names and memories.

Thank you to Tanya Reese who coordinated our Scholastic Book Fair during conference week! We had a wide selection of books for all ages and some great gifts for adults, including cookbooks! The Book Fair proceeds will go towards new books for our library and school.

This ministry is in need of ministers!!! This ministry is the easiest of all ministries because the time involved is short and so is the preparation. If you would like to share the Word with the young members of our community, please call Barbara in the Religious Education Office at 408.847.2652.

Beautiful Holiday Poinsettias Let the Washington D.C. fundraising students help you get a head start on your holiday decorating with gorgeous Gilroy-grown red poinsettias direct from Headstart Nursery. Pick up your order forms at the Parish or School Office. If you are planning

to donate poinsettias to the church at Christmas, simply order and pay and the school will take care of the delivery for you.

All orders must be submitted by November 9, 2016. Thank you for your support!

Gilroy Garlic Festival A Huge Success It is always fun to work such a great community event and this year The Gilroy Garlic Festival Gourmet Alley proceeds totaled $2,768.24!
