Chairman’s Message

I delighted to express my heartfelt greeting to conduct the National Conference on

Innovative Research on New Technologies (IRONS’2k13) on 22nd March 2013 to enthuse

and motivate Faculty/Research Scholars/Engineers and Budding entrepreneurs. The

advancements in Mechanical & Production Engineering thrives in all aspects to emulate the

present global fiscal crisis and economical slow down. We feel it will be a best beginning

and well aware that it is an instance too. I am sure your stint in our college will be mentally

enriching and spiritually transforming the thoughts delivered through this conference.

This forum would definitely lay a strong platform to the Mechanical Engineers

towards the speedy growth and development of their field.

I am so happy to know this National conference will certainly serve the purpose and

a lot number of new thoughts and ideas are expected to be coming up.

I wish let all their efforts be directed towards the success and all the best.

Principal’s Message

I am very glad that the Mechanical and Production Engineering Department

organizing a 2nd

National Conference on Innovative Research On New

Technologies “IRON’S 2k13” on 22 March 2013. This platform motivates the

Faculty/Research Scholars/Engineers to gain higher levels of knowledge apart

from their academic studies. The fundamental needs of research especially in

Mechanical engineering fields are important because it is finding increasing use in

the study of other disciplines. Conferences, not only provide opportunities to get

exposed one’s own knowledge but also to acquire the cherished experience of

others. They also provide chances to get interacted with different people of

different expertise.

Hope you all would get the optimum benefit through your participation in

the Conference. The Conference aims to Introduce and discuss the recent advances

in the various emerging areas as well as to review the promising research trends in

Mechanical & Production Engineering. Another objective of this conference is to

make it possible for all Participants to combine together and share their research

experiences. Participating as an author in IRONS 2k13 would give you an

unrivalled opportunity to disseminate the findings of your research work to the

congregation.

Dr.S. Ragunathan, Ph.D.,

Principal

Join us to enjoy this great professional event along with the warmth and

beauty of JIT.

As a Patron of the IRON’S 2k13, I believe that this conference will help us

in many directions to think in developing our country’s research activities and to

make India as a well country before 2020.

I congratulate the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering

their untiring efforts in organizing this National conference and also for bringing

out the proceedings of the conference.

My greetings to all the participants of this conference.

Assistant General Manager

Tata Motors Ltd

I am very glad to hear that M/S. Jayalakshmi institute of Technology is

organizing a day Conference on innovative research on new technologies on

22nd March, 2013 for Mechanical and Production engineering students. In this

conference, eminent personalities from industry and students also from other

institutions are invited for making presentation. Students are to be exposed

on the requirements of creativity and innovativeness in the emerging

technologies. I feel this will give an opportunity for the students to get

awareness about the industry expectations and also tools they should get

familiarized for meeting future requirements of industry which will enable the

students for preparation to work on emerging new technology.

I wish the management of Jayalakshmi institute of Technology great

success tuning student community for future human resource requirements of

our country and also to organize more such conferences in future for the

benefits of the students.
