Tim Atkinson

Tim began sailing early in his life with his stepfather on a Nicholson 32 in the busy waters of the Solent. Later on, in life, his first captaincy was running S/Y Sanda for the Devon and Cornwall Autistic Trust in Falmouth; and not long after, he had his own catamaran charter business. His passion for the sea took him around the world surfing world class waves as well as being sponsored in

Japan for a few years. He sailed his way across the Atlantic on various deliveries before ending up in Palma de Mallorca where he met his wife.

Tim’s sailing career highlight was acting as first mate on the famous S/Y Agneta being a 25-metre classic ketch which was raced all season on the Panera Circuit to culminate picking up the Vollè de Saffron Trophy for the owner in 2006. At the end of the racing season, Tim began a new venture skippering charter yacht S/Y Imagine for the past nine years around the Balearic Islands.

Tim is a calm and confident sailor who enjoys showing the beautiful Balearic Islands off to his clients, with its great Calas and restaurants and beautiful anchorages.

IRENE IIIThis magnificent Oyster 575 is now available for Charter. The 575 is designed to hit that sweet-spot of being large enough for comfortable ocean sailing whilst also being easy to handle by a couple.

Push button sailing is possible due to her hydraulic in-mast mainsail and genoa furling and winches, whilst below decks she sleeps up to six in three cabins. Her luxurious accommodation is finished in light oak, giving an open, contemporary feel.

The shoal draft keel really opens up the harbours and beaches, which would normally be out of bounds to a yacht of this size.

Irene is operated with a captain only while on charter. Guests will be involved in the general meal preparation and experience a more hands on sailing holiday.
