1The Bilateral Chambers of Commerce Italian System
Italian System of Chambers of Commerce (Camere di Commercio) is locally-based
Each Camber of Commerce has statutory and financial independence
Chambers of Commerce are jointly representedby Unioncamere, a public body founded in 1901
Unioncamere provides support and represents the interests of the Chambers of Commerce in co-ordinating and organizing activities
The Italian System of Bilateral Chambers ofCommerce
Italy is particular, in this field, in that there exist Italian-Foreign Chambers of Commerce called Bilateral Chambers of Commerce
Bilateral Chambers of Commerce and Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Italy operate both under the umbrella of Unioncamere, and have been registered since 1998 in an appropriate Section of the Registry of the Chambers of Commerce
The purpose is to improve economic relations between each Country and Italy, throught partnership agreements and joint projects, and to ensure permanent contacts with the Italian Chambers of Commerce located in Italy and abroad

The Italian-Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CACIA) was founded in 2003, and recognized by Minister of Commerce Decree in 2006
Currently, it counts 131 members
Its registred office is located in Faenza (RA), Italy, and its headquartes are in Faenza and in Rome
CACIA has a large number of collaboration agreements with Italian and Argentine institutions and public body, as in Italy as in Argentina

Among the initiatives that the Italian-Argentine Chamber of Commerce is currently developing, two, in particular, are IP-related:
Collaboration with WIPO for the customization for Argentina
of the WIPO Marks Guide Promotion of IP knowledge and appreciation of the “Made in Italy”
in Argentina
Initiatives of the Italian-Argentine Chambre of Commerce
The final purpose is to provide a customized Guide for commercial trade marks for Small and Medium Businesses operating in the Argentine market
The Guide will contain successful cases regarding Argentine and Italian companies, with reference to the Argentine market
Customization of the WIPO Marks Guide
In particular:
Large Companies and Small Businesses that have enhanced their own brand, improving their competitiveness in the Argentine and international markets
Companies that put into practice strategies against counterfeiting
Companies that have entered into license and/or franchising agreements for the use of the mark in Argentina or at an international level
Customization of the manual
After the 2001 crisis, Argentina now has a fast-growing economy

Realization of a bi-lingual Information Guide
Creation of a bi-lingual Web Site (Spanish and Italian) for the appreciation of Intellectual Property
Mission in Argentina 2008: events and workshops for the promotion of the “Made in Italy”
Promotion of IP knowledge
The Guide (for Italian and Argentine entrepreneurs) will contain, after a preliminary study:
Italian and Argentine IP systems
Strategies to appreciation of IP assets
Strategies to create added-value with IP
Best practices and case studies in the field of the Made in Italy

The Web Site will contain information about CACIA’s promotional programs and appreciation of IP
There will be also news, agenda of events, documents, informations about regional, nationals and international calls, and links
