ABOUT THE DOCUMENT

The hosting rights of the following ITTF PANAM events from 2018 to 2020 are now available and open

for bids:

- 2018 ITTF Pan American Cup

- 2018 ITTF Pan American Championships

- 2018 ITTF Pan American Junior Championships







These top continental events, they are sanctioned by the International Table Tennis Federation, Latin

American Table Tennis Union and North American Table Tennis Union; they will prove a valuable

addition to your sporting calendar for the year.

All interested cities, towns and organisations may bid for the hosting rights of an event.

Bids for multiple events or multiple years are welcome. In this document you will find out more

information on the history of the tournaments and brief hosting requirements.

In order to help with the development of table tennis throughout the Americas, the hosting of the Pan

American tournaments will ideally follow a “rotation policy”.

To submit your application, please complete the application form and attach any additional documents

or information, such as hosting rights fees, which will may help you in your application.

Please try to give as much details as possible to improve your application. It is fine if certain fields cannot

be answered, but the more detailed the application the better chance of success.

ITTF PANAM Junior Championship

The ITTF PANAM Junior Championships consists of team and individual events. Successful teams

qualify for the ITTF World Junior Championships Duration: six days A total of 32 teams (16 girls and 16 boys) qualify for the ITTF PANAM Junior Championships; a

total of 16 boys and 16 girls are invited by World Ranking. Estimated Participation: Approx. 180 participants and officials for each of the ITTF Pan Am Junior Championships to be held

in 2018, 2019 and 2020. The best junior players will participate. Live streaming is required on ITTF Youtube: All days of competition, minimum one camera. The two first tournaments were staged in Vancouver in 2016 and Buenos Aires in 2017.

ITTF PAN AM Cup

2018, 2020

The ITTF PANAM Cup is an annual event, the leading 16 players from the continent participate in this event by invitation. The event consists of Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles. This event will be qualifier for the ITTF Men’s World Cup and ITTF Women’s World Cup each year. The ITTF Men’s World Cup and Women’s World Cup are major tournaments on the ITTF annual calendar. Event duration: three days. Live streaming is required on ITTF Youtube: All days of competition, minimum one camera. TV Production required: Minimum one day (semi-finals and finals), five cameras positions. Estimated Participation: Approx. 50 participants and officials. The ITTF Pan Am Cup / Top 16 Cup will be held in: 2018, 2019, 2020.

ITTF PANAM Championships

Championships consists of team event. The teams to participate in the ITTF Pan Am Championship can participate in the ITTF World Championships. Event duration: four days A total of 32 teams (16 men and 16 women) qualify for the ITTF PAN AM Championships. Estimated Participation: Approx. 150 participants and officials. The ITTF Pan Am Championships will be held in 2018, 2019 and 2020. The best Players from America will participate. Live streaming required on the ITTF Youtube: All days of competition, minimum one camera. TV Production required: minimum two days (semi-finals and finals), five camera positions. The first tournament will be in 2017 in Cartagena – Colombia.

In order to ensure high standards for top continental events in America, ITTF and ITTF PANAM seek host

cities/nations/organisations that have the dedication and expertise to stage such events.
