We had only 3 members (Shawn Wang, Phoebe Liu and Lehana Singh) in the club, but these 3 members did amazing job in last 1 year

We held one of the highest quality events held by any club

Visit to Frog Design

15th March 2010 About 12 students went to one of the most innovative firm in

the world (responsible for original designs for Apple and Intel). All of us learned a lot about the Media business from a strategy point of view.

The visit to Frog Design was remarkable and eye opener to the students, who visited the studio. For the first time they were able to realize that Media and design plays an important role in the firms overall business strategy. We got to learn a lot about the

Case studies of the previous design work (Including one for Intel)

Future Design products some of which are bound to change the way digital design is perceived by the business leaders and strategist.

Media Week

6th May’2010 – 13th May 2010 We organized 4 (out of our planned 5 events) for one week

in collaboration with CDC and Marketing Club. The details of the events are as under.

It took us 4 months to plan this whole week in collaboration with CDC. We put in lot of efforts in not only planning the schedule but also convincing the companies about CEIBS brand as a source of potential recruitment source for future. Our Club held its firm belief that the ultimate aim of the club activities is to enhance the career of students in the respective field. Hence, we really negotiated hard over face to face meetings, over phone and numerous emails to provide internship or full time opportunities to students at CEIBS. Our successful results includes

Offer from Meltwater for full time international placements in South East Asia and Australia to MBA 09. One full time offer confirmed to MBA08 student for South East Asia. Offer for internship for next year for MBA2010 (as we were bit late to initiate the whole process for MBA09)

One Internships offer from Touch Media for MBA09. Understanding for full time offer to MBA09

Three internships offer from Taobao for MBA09 and 1 full time offer confirmed to MBA08 at Hangzhou.

Though we could not get firm offers from 2 other firms, we made an Understanding with Publicis and Frog Design to offer full time offers to students of MBA 09. 

When we started in 2009, we have no one to hand over the club activities and we 3 people started from scratch. Though our club was not big enough to organize more number of events, but all the events which we organized have lot of meaning for not only MBA09 students but also, MBA08 and MBA 2010 students.

Achievements despite constraints One of the biggest constraints with our

club was the manpower (3 students) and budget (400 RMB). Despite all these hurdles, we organized very successful events by successfully utilizing other resources such as alumni, CDC and other clubs such as Marketing Club.

side of the Media Sector (we missed on this important collaboration)
