Introducing T.E.S.!
• This presentation will introduce you to the powerful features of TES including:
• The flexibility of TES• Easy to use Course Finder• In depth course descriptions• Evaluation Tracker for evaluating transfer courses
What is tes? T.E.S. stands for: Transfer Evaluation System TES is a product from College Source the same
company that owns DARWIN. Just like College Source, TES provides PDF
Catalogs The TES course finder does the searching for
you when finding a course description. TES provides equivalencies at your fingertips via
the TES website
The flexibility of tes With TES, there is nothing to install or download! Any web browser will work with TES, including
Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
You can use TES anywhere including your home! TES works on a Mac or a PC! Setting up an account to use TES requires:
finishing the training and then submitting a Banner Authorization Request.
Resetting your password is as simple as sending an email to: [email protected].
TES Functions Course finder: to look up course descriptions Course description options: there are several functions available
in the course description area of Tes. Institution profile: A complete data set of information for
accredited colleges and schools in the u.s.a. Tes Evaluation Tracker: use Tes to send upper division course
evaluations to departments for review.
Using the Course finder in TES
Use the Course Finder to look up course descriptions without having to search the entire college catalog
To begin searching for a course: log into TES, from the home page, click on the “Course Finder” link
Course Finder Type in the college name and click search ***HINT: you can change the search to
look for non U.S. schools or both domestic and international***
Course finder Choose your school by clicking on the arrow to
the left of the name
Course Finder You can either use the Course Description Data
Set or you can view the College’s PDF Catalog (like College Source).
For either one you will need to use the pull down menu to choose the proper catalog year.
Course Finder From the Institution Data Set, you can do two
things: Search for a particular course by typing in the
Course Code or the Course Title (need the EXACT Title or Number).
Search for a course by department using the pull down menu.

If you know the EXACT Course Title or Number you can search by typing that in the fields provided.

You can also search for a course description by department.
Course descriptions with several options
TES offers you more than just a course description: You can: view an institution’s profile, go to their
website or look at the PDF of their catalog You can: print the course description. Email the course description to a member of the
LOBOTrax Transfer Team for evaluation at: [email protected]
You can: view the most recent version of a class or the oldest version of a class
You can: display all versions of a course, view existing equivalencies for a course, or conduct a course equivalent search

From the Course Description, you can also
View any existing unm equivalencies
If you would like for your course to be evaluated for equivalency, just send the
course description to: [email protected]

Processing your tasks in TES is as easy as reading
your email
TES offers you several possible actions when evaluating a Transfer
Course
Approve: Use this action when you agree with the included equivalent.
Deny: Use this action when you disagree with the included equivalent.
Need more information: Use this action when you do not have enough information to make a decision.
Re-assign: Use this action to redirect an evaluation to the proper user or group.
Select/change equivalent course: Use this action to search for the proper UNM equivalent when a UNM course is not included or when the wrong UNM was selected as an equivalent.
