CCNU-UOW Joint InstituteCentral China Normal University (CCNU) and University of Wollongong, Australia (UOW) established a Joint Institute (JI) in 2015 and has the approval of the Ministry of Education, People's Republic of China. The JI is facilitated by CCNU and UOW to cultivate an international partnership with innovative teaching and world-class research. Since 2016 the JI has offered Master’s degree in Computer Science and Telecommunication Engineering, as well as PhD degrees.

CENTRAL CHINA NORMAL UNIVERSITY

Located in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province and a major logistic hub in China, CCNU is a key comprehensive university directly under the administration of the Chinese Ministry of Education. COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Master of Computer Science focuses on preparing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) professionals with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology to meet the challenges of rapidly advancing ICT technologies. Provisional accreditation by the Australian Computer Society is currently being sought for the Master of Computer Science program offered at CCNU-UOW JI. TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

The Master of Engineering (Telecommunications) provides graduate Engineers with discipline specific knowledge and technical skills in advanced telecommunications engineering. You will learn technological and competitive skills needed in designing and engineering innovative modern telecommunications systems and networks. You will gain an understanding of the principles of telecommunications engineering, including the planning and management of telecommunications networks. You will acquire mathematical and computational skills necessary to solve technical and theoretical problems. The CCNU-UOW Joint Institute offers a Double Master Degree in either Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering. The Double Master is a 2 year program and upon completion of the Master, students will graduate with 2 degrees, one from CCNU and one from UOW.

DURATION 2 years (96 credit points to satisfy the degree requirements).

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS Bachelor degree with an equivalent average mark of 60% in any area. Applicants with other qualifications and substantial relevant professional experience may be considered.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS In addition to the academic requirements, applicants must satisfy the English language requirements of UOW. Applicants must achieve overall 6.5 IELTS or equivalent.
