Issue of urban governance and planning implementation has been emerged along with the need of adaptation and mitigation tools to respond the climate change impact. The urban (spatial) planning can be introduced as one of strategies to manage the linkage between urbanization and climate change. Indonesia Association of Planners (IAP) presents the conference to meet the international and national planners, researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners who work at the interface of urban planning and environmental change areas. The conference will work closely with the IX National Congress of Indonesian Association of Planners. In the first day, speakers will address the challenge of urban governance and planning issues in Southeast Asia Metropolises. In second day, the introduction of spatial planning tools to respond the impact of climate change will be presented, especially for Indonesia Cities, and will be followed by the round table meeting of majors. And in third day, IAP will hold the IX National Congress for its registered members.
