Incoterms rules define the terms of sale, that is, the rights and obligations of buyers and sellers with respect to the shipping or transportation of goods under sales contracts. These rules are used by people it all over the world to determine how costs and risks are allocated to the parties in an international transaction. Incoterms refer primarily to the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Incoterms are updated every 10 years by the International Chamber of Commerce. The latest released version – Incoterms 2020 – was just released and has been operating since January 1, 2020. This seminar will show how to use the new Incoterms and negotiate international contracts more effectively according to the U.N. Convention on the International Sale of Goods.
