Interactive Whiteboards Popularity In 2005, interactive whiteboards could be

found in 150000 classrooms in the US.\ They are also popular among other

countries. They can be found among schools in 75 other countries.

Benefits Makes demonstrations easier and quicker

due to the touch sensitive aspect. It is also beneficial to all types of students.

Students with different learning styles, young students, older students, and students with limited motor skills.

What do teachers, students and parents say?

Students have said that the whiteboard makes the lesson more organized and they feel like the receive more attention from the teacher when using the whiteboard.

Parents believe that their child pays more attention when the whiteboard is being used and they tend to stay on task more often.

How could I as a teacher use it? I will be able to show examples of math

problems easily on the board. Students could also come to the board and

write a problem and if they are incorrect another student could come up and easily change the mistake

A game could also be shown on the board easily.

Observations Students tend to pay more attention and

become more active in class when the whiteboard is being used.

The teacher tends to have more control over the class because the whiteboard keeps them interested.
