Why a Technology Forum for Business Schools?

• No organized community of practice for collegiate business school IT officers

• Communities of practice provide a setting in which many quality improvement activities take place– Benchmarking – Reality Check– Common Solutions “Best Practices”– Economies of Scale – Joint Efforts– Discussion with Peers

• You Asked for It– Initial response from survey of Business Schools

indicated an overwhelming interest.

What is the Technology in Business Roundtable?

• Mission:– “To meet the unique information technology

challenges faced by business schools by fostering collaboration among business schools and colleges technology leadership”

• Goals:– Improve overall quality of our technology efforts– Share best practices and network in an environment

of trust– Foster collaboration among technology leaders at

peer institutions

Vision: Business IT in Business Schools • Global Interactivity educational transformation• Interconnect with Enterprise collaboration &

SCM technologies• Example: Partnering with ERP vendor and B
