This webinar will set the tone for the week and encourage all to participate. Target audience: Open to Everyone POLICY UPDATE Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2020 Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Topic: An update on state and federal immigration policies that affect California higher education. Target audience: Open to Everyone STUDENT TRACK Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2020 Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Topic: Student panel discussing professional development activities in California open to undocumented students and how to navigate financial aid as an undocumented student. Target audience: Students Counseling Faculty Track Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2020 Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Topic: Career counseling for undocumented students and a discussion on licensure (Nursing, Engineering, Architecture etc.) and the limitations/barriers this would pose for this student population. Target audience: Faculty, Counselors Student Track Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2020 Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Topic: Student panel describing experiences about transferring or obtaining a career technical education as an undocumented student and how to pay for college at a 4-year university. Target audience: Students Administrator Track Date: Thursday, October 22, 2020 Time: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Topic: Guided Pathways: Utilizing your campus data to clarify the path and eliminate barriers for undocumented students.
