INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE EXAMSPlease note: By deciding to take part in the exam, you accept the following procedures and
promise to abide by them.
HOW TO ACCESS THE ONLINE EXAM
1. You can access the EFZG online exam only using your official @net.efzg.hr e-mail address.
2. For the exam you will need your indeks, a smartphone and a computer. Make sure they are
charged and plugged into a power source. Check your Internet connection before you start.
3. Before the exam starts, it is important to sign out from all your other email accounts, both on
your smartphone and on your computer.
4. Before the exam, you have to join Google Meet on your smartphone. The link is going to be
posted a few minutes before the exam starts in the Google Classroom for the particular
examination date. The code for Google Classroom is going to be posted on your teacher's
official faculty website a few days before the exam.
GOOGLE MEET – BEFORE THE EXAM STARTS
1. Depending on the number of students, you will be instructed to join Google Meet up to 30
minutes before the exam starts, which will allow your teacher enough time to check the IDs of
all the students.
2. You have to be alone in the room where you are writing the exam.
3. Only your computer (laptop) can be on your desk. No papers or gadgets or anything else.
4. After you join Google Meet, turn off your microphone and wait for your teacher to call out
your name. Then turn your microphone on and respond.
5. Your teacher is going to ask you to show your indeks so that she can check your JMBAG, your
photo and your name. No other form of identification can be used in this part of the exam!
6. After that turn off your microphone until the teacher finishes checking other students'
indekses.
7. After that, you will put your smartphone next to you on your side in a way that its camera can
show your profile, the keyboard and your hands, and the screen of the computer (see the
photo).
GOOGLE MEET – DURING THE EXAM
1. The teacher will signal that the exam is about to start.
2. Turn on your microphone again. During the exam both the camera and the microphone of
your smartphone have to be turned on.
3. When there are many participants in Google Meet with their microphones on, the noise can be
annoying. If you want, you can turn down the volume on your smartphone but do not turn it off
completely because you have to be able to hear your teacher's instructions.
4. There should be enough light in the room so that the teacher can see you clearly. The source of
light cannot be placed behind you.
5. You cannot use earphones.
6. You can use your smartphone only for Goole Meet. Do not touch it after you set it in the right
position for the recording of your exam.
7. You are not allowed to open any apps on your computer and to open other windows (except
for Google Classroom at the beginning and Google Form test during the exam).
EXAM
1. The exam will be posted in the Assignment section of the Google Classroom created for the
particular exam date. You will be able to open the exam at a scheduled time, announced a day
before the exam in Google Classroom.
2. It is very important to submit the exam before the deadline. Any exams submitted after the
deadline will be considered a fail. Do not wait until the very last moment to submit it as the
test can get blocked and submission will not be possible.
3. The exam is created in Google Forms. Unfortunately, the exercises and questions are not
numbered, but there is a progress bar on the right that can help you follow your progression in
the test.
4. You have to answer every question / do every exercise in the test. If you do not do this, you
will not be able to submit the test. If you do not know some answer, click any answer or simply
write any letter or any word in order to be able to submit it.
END OF THE EXAM
1. When you finish your exam, first submit the test as it is not submitted automatically when the
time expires. You have to stay in Google Meet until the end of the exam. Wait for your teacher
to signal the end of the exam for the whole group.
2. If you leave Google Meet before submitting the test, the test will be considered a fail. Also, if
you submit the test and leave Google Meet before your teacher signals the end of the exam,
your test will be registered as a fail.
3. If you behave inappropriately during the exam (turning around, talking, leaning…) you will be
asked to leave Google Meet and your exam will be registered as a fail. If you think that this was
unfair, still leave Google Meet immediately and contact your teacher by mail to discuss the
problem.
4. If you leave Google Meet during the exam, even for a few minutes, your exam will be
registered as a fail.
5. If you turn off your microphone or your camera during the exam, even just for a few minutes,
your exam will be considered a fail.
6. If you leave Google Meet unintentionally due to technical issues, contact your teacher
IMMEDIATELY by mail and she/he will give you instructions on what to do (sometimes it is
possible to retake the exam later on during the same day, sometimes it is not). If you do not do
this, your test will be considered a fail. Please note: Google Meet registers the quality of each
participant's network connection, so please do not use this loophole get a better grade.
RESULTS
1. Exam results will be posted within five working days from the written exams, in the Google
Classroom created for the particular exam.
2. The info on your exams will contain points, grades, name, surname.
3. If you want to see your exam, you will arrange a meeting on Google Meet with your teacher to
discuss the exam.
ORAL EXAMS
1. For the courses where there is an oral exam, the schedule for oral exams will be posted along
with the results of the written exam in Google Classroom. Oral exams have to take place within
five working days from the written exam.
2. On the day your oral exam is scheduled, a link for Google Meet will be posted in Google
Classroom. Join Google Meet at the exact time, not earlier, so you don't disturb students who
are taking the oral exam just before you.
3. In general, oral exams are taken in groups of two to three students. If for some reason you are
taking the oral exam alone (e.g., because the other student doesn't show up), your exam will be
recorded. The recording will be deleted at the beginning of the new semester.
4. After you join Google Meet, your teacher will ask you to show your indeks.
5. The oral exam usually takes from 10 to 15 minutes, but all the students scheduled for the same
time will be asked to stay in Google Meet until all the students from their group finish their oral
exam.
ENTERING GRADES
1. After oral exams, the teacher will enter your grade in ISVU.
2. In accordance with the instructions we got from our Faculty, the grades will not be entered in
your indeks due to epidemic measures.
3. Still, as the epidemic situation is changing constantly, it is possible that the Faculty allows us to
invite you to the teacher's office to get your grade entered, in the near future. Therefore, it is
important that you follow all the notifications on your teacher's official web page and on the
Faculty main web page in the weeks ahead.
In all the Business English courses we encourage transparency and open communication with our
students. If you have any problems, questions or if you are not satisfied with something, please
contact your teacher. All the teachers are doing their best to help their students, especially in
these difficult circumstances. If you feel that you were treated unfairly, please be sure that no
harm is done to you intentionally. Therefore, we would like to encourage you to contact your
teacher and try to solve any unclear issues or problems together.
We wish you a lot of success!
