Instructions for attending the Examinations1. General1.1. The End term examination will be held at the end of the term as per the examination schedule released by the Programme office from time to time.

1.2. If a student's attendance is less than 60%, he/she would be awarded `F' grade which implies Incomplete. He/ she will not be allowed to sit for the exam

1.3. A student will not be allowed to appear in the examination if he/she has outstanding dues of any other department as notified by the Programme Office.

2. Unethical Practice in the Examination:

2.1. Any unethical practice shall attract disciplinary action as outlined below:

2.1.1. The students are expected to maintain the sanctity of the academic environment in general and the examinations system in particular. If a student is found guilty of any kind of malpractices during the examination/test of any type, he/she will be liable to severe punishment as deemed appropriate by academic council.

2.2. The Para 4.1 as above will apply in case of malpractices including plagiarism in assignment paper/project reports etc.2.3. The students are expected to be seated 10 minutes before the commencement of the exam as per the days seating plan. However, In case of emergencies or any other unforeseen circumstances the students may be allowed to enter after 15 minutes of the start of exam on invigilators discretion.

2.4. The students should write their Code number immediately on receipt of the answer sheets, continuation sheet, question paper, case studies or any other material received by them during the examination, failing which punishment under Para 2.1 above may be given.

2.5. All kinds of conversation among students is strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Also any attempt to offer or receive help (exposing answer sheet, hand-signs etc.) shall attract severe punishment.

2.6. The students are not allowed to borrow anything among themselves like eraser, pencils, scales, calculator etc. and are not allowed to bring any eatables or drinks etc. inside the examination hall.2.7. No students shall be allowed to go out of the examination hall during the first one hour and last half hour of the exam.

2.8. It is the responsibility of students to get the answer sheet and all the examination sheets, to be used by them, signed by the invigilating faculty. It should be clearly indicated on the front page of the main answer sheet the number of continuation sheets used by them. If any unsigned/wrongly signed sheet is found later, the examination will be cancelled at the responsibility of a student and punishment under Para 2.1 above may be given.

2.9. Under no circumstances mobile phones will be allowed inside the examination hall.

2.10. The students are not allowed to write anything (except their roll numbers) on the question paper or case study. They should also not exchange the question paper. If any student found guilty of any kind of malpractice he will attract the action under Para 2.1.

2.11. All kinds of books or support material (handouts etc.) should be handed over to the invigilator before the start of examination. Any intention of malpractice will be considered a serious offence to be punished as per 2.1

2.11.1. In case of open book examination, all books, materials should have the student name on it and sharing of such material is strictly prohibited. If found guilty, the student whose material is found in hands of another along with the student would be subject to disciplinary action as per para 2.1.

2.12. All cases of mal-practices are to be brought to the notice of Program Director, who shall take appropriate decision in consultation with Faculty Committee.
