Fixture should be mounted to a recessed or surface mounted standard grounded junction box marked for use in wet locations. • Connect fixture to a 120 volt, 60 Hz power source. Any other connection voids the warranty. • Fixture should be installed by persons with experience in household wiring or by a qualified electrician. The electrical system, and the method of electrically connecting the fixture to it, must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local building codes. • Replace bulb with 23 wattage or lower. Installing a bulb of a higher wattage could create a fire hazard and will void the warranty. • Your fixture is prewired and preassembled for easy installation. • Do not mount below 5 feet. Notice: Lamps contain mercury. Dispose according to local, state, or federal laws. For more information, visit: www.lamprecycle.org. FOR BEST RESULTS • Install patio light 10-15 feet above the ground. • Make sure fixture’s head is 15-30° from horizontal on wall mount application. • Do not mount fixture close to reflective surfaces such as windows, white walls, white surfaces and water. • When installing two fixtures on one switch, make sure the switch is rated for at least a 1 A inductive load. • When mounting coverplate, make sure the photo sensor orientation is at the bottom. • When mounting to a wall, make sure the fixture is 7 inches on center away from eave and 13 inches on center away from inside corner of the exterior wall. MOUNTING YOUR FIXTURE NOTE: Do not mount within 7 inches on center below eave and 13 inches on center away from inside corner of the exterior wall of a highly reflective surface (Fig. 1). 1. Remove paper backing from gasket (D) and attach gasket (D) to the back of the mounting plate (Fig. 2). Make sure wires come through the inside of the gasket (D). NOTE: Make sure the screw holes on the gasket (D) are aligned with the screw holes on the mounting plate. Then press gasket (D) firmly into place. NOTE: Make sure your fixture is always aimed so the head is angled in a downward position. WIRING YOUR FIXTURE 1. Turn off the power at the main fuse/breaker box. 2. Connect the black fixture wire to the black supply wire (hot) using wire connector (E) (Fig. 3). 3. Connect the white fixture wire to the white supply wire (neutral) using wire connector (E) (Fig. 3). 4. Connect the copper ground fixture wire to an appropriate supply ground or a grounded junction box. NOTE: Be careful to connect the wires correctly. Make sure no bare strands of wire extend from the wire connector (E) provided or other approved wire connectors (not provided). 5. Attach the mounting plate to your junction box by using the (4) screws (C) included with your fixture. 6. Insert the (4) decorative screw cover caps (F) into the screw holes on the front of the coverplate to hide screws (Fig. 4). 7. Add silicone caulk around the mounting plate to help maintain a weather-resistant seal. INSTALLING THE BULB 1. Insert pins on bulb (B) into socket and gently twist clockwise until bulb locks into place (Fig. 5). 2. Reattach the lens with the lens screws (Fig. 6). ENERGY STAR ® D. Gasket Junta F.
