Why they fit us?• The group believes that Mosaic Films fits our production as they

company is based around London, and our primary audience are aged between 24-35 years old and our London based. This means that they can help us specifically target our primary audience. As on the website they state they offer a range of consultancy and training solutions, which means that from there own location they might have a better understanding of Londoners due to there experience and knowledge. Another reason why we think they fit us is also because the company states they are known “ for producing films that are innovative in subject matter and style.” This relates to our Short Documentary as, we are challenging the governments advice on diet and food as well as we are talking about a topic that could affect the lives of millions seen as there is clear increase in Obesity in the past 20 years, making our style innovative, hence why we are showing it in independent cinemas.

Why they fit us? Pt.2• “Mosaic Films specialises in producing compelling, high quality documentaries which push the boundaries of documentary filmmaking practice and content.” This is beneficial towards us, as we are looking to exhibit our short production to independent cinemas, which means that high quality documentaries, will help the documentary have a cinematic aesthetic to our audience. As well as the fact that they like to push the boundaries, means that can help us attract different audiences in the Independent Cinema and it means our production is Innovative, helping us attract our target audience.

Why they fit us? • Dogwoof is a very powerful distributor with a lot of

connections. In 2005 after 1 year of setting up they were the first company in the world to do a multi platform release in 2005. This can help us towards the future of our documentary to be able distribute globally to reach a wider audience. The company is also Innovative which can help us during the distribution stage, as we are exhibiting to Independent Cinemas, it means that with their innovative thinking they can help us market to our target audience. So if they create innovative ways to market to our audience, it can mean that we have a wider audience.

Why they fit us? Pt2.• Finally the main reason why we believe that Dogwoof should

distribute our film is because they have experience distributing many different type of films, ranging from different genres. There about statement also helped us make our decision easier.

“Dogwoof’s film campaigns are renowned for having significant social impact, as well as commercial success.”• This is our goal as a whole to make an impact in the lives of

other people, to have a more better understanding of diet and not relying on Government advice. This shows that they have experience in dealing with Films that have a social impact and can convert it into a commercial success, meaning that they can widen our audience so it can become a mainstream documentary.

Exhibition • The group decided that we should exhibit the Short

Documentary in Independent Cinemas, as we felt that our target audience who are in the income B, would spend most of their time in Independent Cinemas. We thought that we should exhibit our films in Aesthetics Short Film Festival Sheffield Documentary Fest and London International Documentary Fest. We felt that we should try to locate the festivals around England, as our documentary is based around the Government in the UK. This means that as a production we are focused on making the Documentary Cinematic.
