Advanced users, IT Departments, System Administrators Note: these tools are BONUS tools, and are to be treated ad BETA software and may not install or work on all systems. Autodesk do not support these applications, which is why they are not part of the default installation. To Install the SDK tools, please do the following 1) Ensure that you have full Administrator privileges and that the UAC is disabled in Windows 2) Close Inventor and all other running programs 3) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\SDK 4) In the folder you will see UserTools.msi, double click this icon and follow the prompts as shown in the rest of this document

Installing the Inventor SDK in 2012
This is a quick guide run you through the steps required to install the Bonus
SDK tools that ship with Inventor.

To Install the SDK tools, please do the following
1) Ensure that you have full Administrator privileges and that the UAC is disabled in Windows
2) Close Inventor and all other running programs
3) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\SDK
4) In the folder you will see UserTools.msi, double click this icon and follow the prompts as shown in the rest
of this document
The Tools should now be installed, Fire up Inventor and check the Add-Ins tab
If there are any installation issues, please carefully re-read the instructions above.
