PART A
(GENERAL INFORMATION)
Inside this manual you will find symbols and texts. These symbols have the function to
give advice or suggestions for specific circumstances.
ADVICE
It is used to advise the operator about recommended or forbidden
operations or procedures
ATTENTION
It is used to stress conditions which could be dangerous for the person or
the machine
DANGER
This is used to advise the operator about the danger he or people near the
machine could run under certain conditions.
This icone means that 2 people are needed to carry out the described
operation

This manual has been written in compliance with the European directive 89/392 and
subsequent modifications
The use instructions of this manual are those recommended by the manufacturer

NOTICE:
when receiving the pool lift F 145, please make sure there are the following items
• Plate with serial number of F145 and CE marks (printed by the Manufacturer)
• Service manual in the requested language.
ATTENTION:
Specifications, the lifting capacity and any other information included in this
manual refer to the maximum potential of the fixed pool lift F 145 as it comes out of the
Manufacturer premises..
Any welding or modification of the electrical components as well as the replacement of
parts by non original spare parts is forbidden.
Service operations have to be carried out according to the prescriptions and frequency
specified in section G of this manual

Tasks and responsibility
Tasks:
This part deals with the tasks of the operator concerning the use of the fixed pool lift F 145.
I.e. from the activation of the power circuit through the moving of the different parts up to
the service.
.
The operator must know the safety rules and the relevant devices as well as the usage of
the controls.
Responsibility
The operator is responsible for the use and the correct functioning of the fixed pool lift
F 145 , its maintenance and any operation he carries out within the above listed tasks.

(PERFORMANCE AND SPECIFICATIONS)
Allowed usage
The project of the fixed pool lift F 145 complies with all the requirements of the adopted
rules as far as the resistance to breaking and to repeated stress.
The fixed pool lift F 145 has been projected according to norms UNI CNR 10011.
The unit has to be used as a fixed pool lift to help people with walking difficulties in
particolar in the phase of immersion into and coming out of the pool water.
The operator helping the immersion and the coming out of the water must follow the
relevant use instructions.
A different use from the one recommended by the manufacturer is forbidden

(SAFETY NORMS AND DEVICES)
Safety general norms and devices
It is under the operator’s responsibility to know the fixed pool lift F 145 and keep it efficient.
In case of doubts, please refer to the operator’s manual.
Do not use it to lift loads of unknown weight.
Use the chair after making sure the person is properly anchored to the seat before moving
it.
Make sure the fixed pool lift F 145 is perfectly in rest position before starting a new
operation.
Emergency
In case of blockage of the power system, there is a red button to be operated manually
that enables the complete unloading of the cylinder with consequent lowering of the arm.
(see the picture herebelow)
Once the lowering operation is finished, the immediate repair must be carried out by an
authorized workshop.

Necessary characteristics
The personnel who uses and operates the fixed pool lift F 145 has to be competent and
have the following characteristics
Physical characteristics
Good sight,hearing, coordination and capacity of performing all the necessary operations
in a safe way.
Mental characteristics
Capacity in understanding and implementing the norms and the safety caution, he must
be careful for his safety and the others’: He must be willing to perform his task in the best
way.
Emotional characteristics
He must be calm and capable to resist to stress and pay attention to his personal physical
and mental conditions..
Training
This manual has to be read and understood, as well as all the attachments and symbols
and danger plates. Before starting using the lift, it is recommended to get familiar with it ,
its controls and operations having tried everything under unloaded conditions

(CONTROL AND DEVICE DESCRIPTION)
GENERAL CONTROL PANEL (remote control)
Control panel for the up and down movements of the fixed pool lift F 145
1) UP (Left button , marked by a “up” flash) This button operates the lifting device and
starts the electrical box. The lifting operation takes place when button is pressed and stops
when button is released
2) DOWN (Right button, marked by a “down” flash ) . This button operates the
lowering device. The arm lowers by keeping the button pressed. When button in released,
the operation stops

Introduction
This section describes the actions to take to operate the fixed pool lift F 145 in the correct
sequence.
ATTENTION: before using the fixed pool lift F 145, always make sure all the
safety devices are efficient!
Handling of the transported person
The handling of the transported person consists in lowering the seat into the water (down
operation) and lifting the seat from the water (up operation)
In order to perform this operation in a safe way, it is imperative to follow the hereunder
detailed sequence.
Phase 1: Position the seat near the “L”
bar in perfect line.
Phase 2: Hook the seat at the adequate
device which is fitted at the end of the
“L”bar.
Phase 3: Press the UP button on the remote control until the wheels are slightly over the
floor.

Phase 4: Press the DOWN button and keep it pressed until
the seat is in the water. At this moment, a second operator is necessary inside the water
to unfasten the belt and help the person to leave the seat.
Recovery of the person from the water
Phase 5: As in Phase 4, a second person is needed to help the disabled person to sit and
fasten the safety belt.
Phase 6: Press the UP button : the seat starts going up and the button has to be pressed
until the necessary height is reached.
Phase 7: Turn the seat manually until the seat is over the floor.
Phase 8: Press the DOWN button and keep it pressed until the seat reaches the floor.
Phase 9: unfasten the security belt.

(SERVICE)
Introduction
All the operations,both those carried out by the operator and those carried out in an
authorized workshop have to be noted on the pages called check coupons.
Any service operation has to be carried out with the general switch in off position.
When washing the machine , the electrical parts and connections must be duly protected
to avoid that the water sprays under pressure can damage the parts.
All components of the fixed pool lift F 145 are protected from the atmospheric agents by
anticorrosion superficial treatments.
Frequency table
This table summarizes the list of service operations to carry out regularly

- Check the pins of junctions
- Check the safety belt attachment points
- Check electrical connections.
- Check for leaking in the jacks
- Test cylinders
- Check rating of power system and efficiency of safety devices
- Check the main structure.
- Check and replace the damaged plates, if necessary.
In case the fixed pool lift F 145 has to be kept inactive for over 3 months, all safety and
control devices as well as mechanical parts have to be checked in an authorized
workshop.
Final disposal
When the fixed pool lift F 145 is out of use, it has to be given to the authorized disposal
centres .

The following pages will describe and show how to install the fixed pool lift F145.
Will you please follow the different steps according to the given sequence and your
pool lift F145 will be ready for use.
- Fix the socket to the floor by means of
8 Fisher dowels. The floor has to be
prepared with a concrete cube of 550 kg
or 60x60x60 cm to ensure the correct
balancing counterweight.
- It is recommended to have 2 people
to carry out the assembly operations.
The needed tool are a hammer and
pliers.
- Insert the vertical pole into the socket as shown in the
picture.
- The vertical pole is in its working position.
- Fit the security device to the steel plate.
- Fit the mobile arm to the vertical pole.
- Lock the mobile arm by means of a pin.
- Lock the pin by means of a clamp.
- The mobile arm is fitted to the vertical pole.
- Fit the actuator to the vertical pole.
- The actuator is secured to the vertical pole
by a pin.
- The pin is locked by a clamp.
- Fix the upper part of the actuator to the
mobile arm.
- Lock the upper part of the actuator to
the arm by means of a pin.
- Lock the pin by means of a clamp. - Fit the “L” bar to the end of the mobile arm
by means of a pin to be set into the second
hole as shown in the picture.
- Detail of the “L” bar when fixed to the
mobile arm (we recommend to use the first hole) - The pin is to be locked by a clamp.
- The structure is ready to be equipped with seat and transporter.
ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS
- The photos and descriptions of this section will show how to connect the electrical parts to
the unit.
- Plug the actuator into the security device as shown in above pictures.
- Plug the remote control to the actuator.
- Fit the battery above the security device by fixing it to the steel plate.
