Employment Opportunity JOB TITLE: Network Administrator/Engineer JOB DESCRIPTION: Help design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain our internal and client facing network devices, including configuration, maintenance, incident response and fulfillment of client requests for services. The candidate must be experienced in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges, and gateways. The candidate will be required to coordinate third party maintenance for network equipment and perform server provisioning and migration of existing applications into a virtual environment. The candidate will assist with the on-boarding of new customers and will be expected to provide a high level of technical support to customers over the phone and via support tickets. The candidate will apply creative problem-solving techniques to identify the root cause of problems; as well as keeping the customer aware of each step along the way. EXPERIENCE: Ideally, applicants for this position should possess significant experience with Cisco switches and firewalls operating in a hosted environment consisting of web, database and e-mail servers. An understanding of compliance and security is also highly beneficial, as is experience dealing with vendors and clients. Experienced with most aspects of OS administration on all versions of Windows Server/Desktop; for example, configures basic internet protocols (including email, dns, etc.), system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software, in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting techniques. Experience with all aspects of email client setup, SMTP/POP/IMAP protocols and troubleshooting Connections - Spam/Virus Settings - Add/Edit/Remove Email - Email Client Set Up - Email Errors - Mail Server Management of Spammers - Relay Server Management Experienced with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands basic routing concepts, fundamental TCP/IP and system security. Experienced in creating Active Directory users, OU groups, and understand how to apply NTFS and share level permissions Experienced with Configuring, testing and maintaining DHCP EDUCATION: High School Graduate.
