Unfortunately, gone are the days when one could think of taking a peaceful walk on the road or for that matter, even taking a two wheeler out on the road has also become a tough task due to increased crowd density within the city and same leading to irregular traffic, in-disciplined crowd, rush, loss of civic sense and all resulting in aggression and anxiety in our day to day routines o f life. Especially, for senior citizens it is a nuisance as they deserved to lead a relaxed life at this stage rather than spending their valuable time in routines where certainly Someone Else can take care of. Now who can this “Someone Else” be? They have to be trustworthy, with a sound local knowledge and with resources to cater most of their needs at one point of contact. Most of the young generation wish to provide all the comforts to their parents, but are unable to fill this need up due to their own professional & personal commitments. Now with economical growth and comfortable financial status many can afford to employ a full time assistant in the form of a servant or a driver to look after the parents but mostly these full time employed people remain ideal throughout the day as actual helping hand required for the parents may be just 1 hour or a little more a day. Eventually, one ends up th inking why should they pay so much for such little services. In turn it leads to parents compromising on their comforts by not having such full time assistants a nd doing things on their own. “Parent’s Partners” comes into picture precisely to fill up the gap and take the role of this “Someone Else” in more effective mann er. We have identified the core needs on day to day basis and time required to fulfil such requirements. We have worked on a service model, which is based on effective time management of our resources which in turn will provide Comfort, Convenience and Cost effective solution to the senior citizens. Many of us may think that with the improvement in technology and facilities most of the work for example paying the bills, etc. can be done “On line” or through “Electronic transfers” on their own then why hire any such services for the same. But this is just a part of the comprehensive package, to ease the burden of the work. Many of the senior citizens have adopted the activities of buying grocery, carrying out postal/bank work, etc. to be their way of passing time. Honestly if we retrospect ourselves we may be unknowingly, unwillingly compromising against our Wishes & Likes. One can surely u tilise his/her valuable time in much better manner. One can spend time in sharing or expanding their own knowledge, expertise and experience with others. For instance, one can volunteer for a social cause or even devote their time in pursuing their own hobbies, in meeting relatives and friends. Constructive management of time can be easily achieved wh en the work load is shared and especially the kind of work which could be delegated to others.
