5Informatica Procurement, Version 8.0
Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog is indicative of the current trend of B2C features finding application in the B2B area.
Powerful Full-Text Search
A powerful full-text search with an auto complete feature enables fast location of the products required. The search algorithm adapts to the number of hits. The powerful full-text search is linked directly to the faceted search and feature search.
Faceted Search
In addition to the full-text search, the faceted search allows you to systematically restrict the number of results. The price facets are displayed on the basis of the highest to the lowest price.
Standard assortment
In addition to the various limitations of a search result, you can define whether users can search only within the defined standard assortment.
Fast Search Results with Apache SolrThis lightning-fast open source search platform is extremely scalable, which offers many benefits, including searches distributed across several servers. It is perfectly designed to handle mass data and is therefore ideally suited to use in international companies.

One Search: Simultaneous Browsing of Internal and External Catalogs & Websites
The External Catalog Punchout Interface supports Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog as a central search engine, and can even search external shops and catalogs.
When you search internal and external items simultaneously, the search results are delivered in the form of a combined list, sorted by relevance, in Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog. In the search result, indexed items are flagged as external items.
The central application for Procurement
Item detail view for an item
When you open the detail view for an indexed external item, the current price is deter-mined from the external online shop. Depending on the setting, the current price is buffered for a defined period. In this way, user will always obtain the currently valid price for the relevant item when he or she uses indexed external items.
Indexing allows you to browse external online shops within Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog. This allows users to remain in their familiar shopping environment at all times.

Fastest-Ever Procurement
The intelligent enhancements in the new release of Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog enable further significant reductions in process times. The main focus is on optimizing the entry of recurring products and services.
To further reduce the time it takes to complete the electronic procurement process, the shopping cart can be filled in the blink of an eye thanks to functions like fast entry and collective entry, as well as the uploading of complete item lists.
The item fast entry with item number or SAP material number helps to create the shopping cart quickly

Multi-Supplier Product Inquiry
An inquiry about a product can be sent to several suppliers at the same time using the enhanced product inquiry feature.
Sending the product inquiry starts the integrated workflow. This keeps the user updated about the quotations received.
Before ordering a product, the user can compare individual quotations.
A quotation can be ordered once or multiple times. These settings can be individually configured for each customer.
The integrated workflow also includes an approval process. In some situations, a product that costs more than a defined total amount may have to be released by an approver before it can be added to the shopping cart. The user and approver can document the details of their decision.
Quickly compare of the requested products
9Informatica Procurement, Version 8.0
Recent shopping carts
A clear overview of the shopping carts relating to previous orders is provided (order date, number of items, and total amount). When you reorder the same item, you can use a shopping cart from a previous order as the basis for this new order. The related items can be viewed in a detail view.
Ease of Use
Ease of use and clarity of application are at the heart of the new GUI design. Important information must be clear and available at all times. One simple example of this is the constant visibility of the shopping cart.
Trends from the B2C area are increasingly finding their way into the B2B sphere. To ensure that you have all the information you could possibly require at your fingertips, detailed product descriptions, item indicators (e.g. for top sellers), larger version of item images and graphically highlighted favorites can be displayed in the results list. This shortens any delays in the application, as a large amount of relevant information is already available as a bundle at this stage of the process. Our goal is to make the application as accessible as possible for all groups of users.
Your company’s processes are improved through compliance with and safeguarding of standard processes. This is why standardized PDF documents of item detail view, item comparison and the shopping cart can be generated.
Usability is further enhanced with the Single Sign-On function. Automatic authentication in an SAP NetWeaver portal eliminates the need for manual login and is fully integrated into the company’s existing landscape via SAP Portal Ticket.

SAP Integration
Many large companies use SAP ERP in combination with SAP SRM. Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog is integrated into the SAP SRM scenario, and acts as a single point of search in the desktop purchasing system.
The “ERP Organizations” module offers the additional option of using Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog without an e-procurement system by linking it directly to an ERP system. Pre-built interfaces with SAP ERP provide support for an integrated catalog procurement process.
By saving the procurement processes directly in a separate database, the “Standalone Organizations” module also enables the use of Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog without an e-procurement system. In addition, account assignment master data, goods recipient master data, and approval workflows can be mapped directly in the Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog standalone solution.
The SAP Warehouse Engine facilitates the integration of Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog with the MM module in the SAP ERP system and therefore enables direct, real-time queries of warehouse stocks. Warehouse stocks are displayed for products directly in the hit list and in the detail view. The information content comprises all plants and storage locations for a material, as well as the stock type (unrestricted-use stock, stock in quality inspection) and moving average price.
Secure OCI 5.0
With “Secure OCI 5.0”, sensitive data is no longer transmitted via the browser. Defined background calls now communicate or transfer sensitive data between the SRM system and the catalog system.
Informatica Procurement - Business Catalog is the central search engine in purchasing. It ensures the integration of various e-procurement and ERP systems – even in international enterprises.

It provides an insight into the number of orders and order items, as well as order volumes, for example. Users can immediately detect the suppliers from which items are procured most frequently, and which product groups have the highest and lowest order volumes across the company as a whole.

Mobile Catalog Intelligence – Make Decisions on the Move

Informatica Procurement - Supplier Portal
Reduce Costs for Content Management and Supplier Integration.Informatica Procurement - Supplier Portal enables a holistic view of purchasing processes. It supports the entire process, from the supplier providing the catalog data, to the purchasing department releasing a “live” version of the data for productive use. Informatica Procurement - Supplier Portal makes the import, validation and release of catalogs easier and faster for the integration of supplier data. It also offers a self-service concept for suppliers, whereby suppliers can upload their catalogs independently.
With a wide range of functions, Informatica Procurement - Supplier Portal reduces content management costs significantly. It does this, for example, by performing checks against master agreements and automated workflows for communication between the supplier and buyer. Assortment and price validations also help ensure the highest possible catalog quality.
The integrated workflow solution detects the individual processing steps and monitors their progress. It informs users about upcoming tasks and safeguards the monitoring of results throughout the entire catalog lifecycle. Informatica Procurement - Supplier Portal thus ensures that the process is both efficient and – by logging each step in an audit log – fully traceable.
Perfect product data is the key to successful e-procurement. Only a company that obtains high data quality from its suppliers and makes this available to its users can efficiently use an electronic ordering system.
You can use Informatica Catalog Services as an additional service. We manage all your supplier communication and all your catalog data for you.
A comprehensive audit-trail function enables the system-wide logging of all processes, which can then be evaluated at any time to guarantee full traceability.
Price validation rules
The price validation rules predefined in the standard system can be copied and individual parameters can be adjusted. In the validation report, individual parameters are displayed in text format and the configuration settings are listed.
