Installation Instructions for Infor 11.1 201603 Patch In an effort to ensure that your Infor EAM environment continues to operate with maximum efficiency and minimal problems, Infor Global Solutions strongly recommends that you: Note: This patch can only be applied to an Infor EAM environment that has v11.1 201601 build installed. Back-up your current Infor EAM database before installing this patch. Let only a qualified Infor EAM Integrator/ Administrator install this patch. Apply this patch to a test environment and perform your own user acceptance testing before applying this patch to your production environment. For Infor EAM, on the Administration | Security | Install Parameters form, the Install Parameters: FORMDATE and FORMDATI must have 4-digit year format, i.e. DD-MON-RRRR. " To determine if the Infor EAM 11.1 is installed, login to Infor EAM, click on “About” and verify version is 11.1 201601

Stop the Infor EAM application as mentioned in the Infor EAM Administration Guide. 3. Copy the DB111201603ORA.sql and EAMcomp.sql to a local directory that can be called directly from SQL Plus. 4. In SQL Plus, run DB111201603ORA.sql. 5. In SQL PLUS run EAMcomp.sql to validate any invalid objects. 6. Exit SQL Plus. 7. Restart the application server. Installing on an MS SQL Server Database: 1. Log all users out of the application. 2. Stop the Infor EAM application as mentioned in the Infor EAM Administration Guide. 3. Copy the DB111201603SQL.sql file to a local directory that can be called directly from Query Analyzer. 4. Login to Query Analyzer as SA user. 5. 1. Log all users out of the application. 2. Make sure you are logged in as the same user that installed Infor EAM. 3. Open a shell session and stop the Infor EAM application as mentioned in the Infor EAM Administration Guide. NOTE:


A bourne-derivative shell must be used in order to run the patch 4. Ensure that a proper backup of the Infor EAM installation is available, in the event of any problems that arise during the patch process. 5. Copy the patch file EAM111LN201603.sh to a temporary directory like /tmp 6. Navigate to the temporary directory then execute the shell script file like #./EAM111LN201603.sh, type yes, and press enter to unzip. (It will create and unzip files to an EAM111LN201603 folder) 7. Navigate to the EAM111LN201603 directory and set the variable APPSRV_HOME to the location where Infor EAM is installed. 8. 4. Navigate to Jobs tab, enter "Sjob1" in description and submit.

5. Navigate to Plan Parts tab and add Part1 and submit the record. Temp material list TM# is created for Sjob1

.

6. Navigate to record view and change the status to Request approval.

7. Query for the records in backend for TM# and Sjob1 . both records are in RA status with revision 0

8. Approve the task plan TP1 in Revision Approval screen.


9.TM# and Sjob1 are also approved.(verify in back end)

10. Create a new revision for task plan TP1.

11. Add new part Part2 in Plan Parts tab of TP1.(Created a new revision 1 for job and material list with

Unfinished status)

12. Change the Status of Task Plan TP1 to Request approval.

If user creates new revisions for Task plan TP1 and adding new plan parts..and following the approval process,

The tomcat.xml file is looking for a specific file in order to determine whether or not to propagate changes for

GIS. The logic for this check causes the entire section to be skipped whether the file exists or not

Description

Average Price is being calculated with a negative value after a Supplier Returns. Then, all the next issues

transactions are being created with this negative price and this impact into the WO Cost Summary Tab

NOTE: I have tested in EAM 11 but the same error occurs with EAM 10.1.2

EAM-19617 SQL Server: Database deadlocks detected, causing transaction rollbacks

Description

In order to get the deadlock on R5EVENTS and R5IDX10_EVT you simply need to generate WOs

simultaneously from Fixed PMs, the deadlock on R5EVENTS_PASSTHROUGH seems to occur while

generating WOs simultaneously from Duplicate PMs. With flexes disabled

(dev_deadlocks_flexes_disabled.zip)

Customer observe the database deadlocks causing transaction rollbacks. As far as we can see, the deadlocks

always occur on R5EVENTS_PASSTHROUGH table. This impacts end users, because sometimes not all of

the Work Orders are released. Attached the trace, r5events_passthrough export, app server log files (3 app

servers x 2 JVMs) and a screenshot of sample deadlock.

Customer identified another deadlocking resources - the R5EVENTS and R5IDX10_EVT. Attached another

trace + screenshot+app server logs and also the index definition (deadlock_info_20151116.zip).

According to audit trail log entries at 9:50 user MZ528467 was releasing work orders see details in

server_2568_1.log file and this is when the deadlocks occurred. Also at 9:50 user JRC55902 was releasing

work orders see details in server_2569_2.log file and also this is when deadlocks occurred. These two

mentioned cases are about the locks on R5EVENTS and R5IDX10_EVT. Could the fact of releasing multiple

Work Orders by two different users at the same time be the reason why the deadlock occurred?

At 8:52 user OAX83284 was submitting a Work Request through the web services api, you can find some

details in server_2567_1.log file - this is when a deadlock on R5EVENTS_PASSTHROUGH occurred.

At 7:19 user DRM28003 was releasing Work Orders see details in server_2569_2.log and this is also when the

deadlock on R5EVENTS_PASSTHROUGH occurred.

This problem can not reproduce here but the profiler show the deadlock.

3. Create two users in your group.

4. Turn on e-signature for EVNT status change from R to R 1 and R 1 to R.

EAM-19982 CLONE - Base - Dataspy return no records

Description

After upgrading to 11, dataspys are not operating properly. The data behind this issue is confusing. once they

upgraded they noticed that copied dataspys returned no values. If a filter was added to the same dayaspy, it

would return values, until the user logged out, then it would return no values again. This appears to be a data

related issue with NUCOR only. They are a hosted customer. I can provide recent data from DBsic.

Steps to replicate:

• Login as R5

• Go to Work->Work Orders

• Click the right arrow to “Expand Right”

• Select the “All Open Work Orders” dataspy. It will display no records.

• Click on the “Edit” button


• Add security filter “Type” ≠ “Multiple Equipment Child”

• Save

• The dataspy will now display records.

• Log out, then log back in. The dataspy will no longer show any records.

• Perform the same steps again and the behavior repeats.

EAM-20195 CLONE - Mobile VGA Locking down fields: few fields has additional login

on UI which overrides the sync config setting

Description

Customer is using EAM 10.1.2 database alongside side EAM version 10 mobile application. (Running

Windows Full VGA).

They have a requirement whereby they need to lock down certain fields to ‘Read only’ for certain user groups.


On the mobile device, (Windows Panasonic Tough Tablet) customer has tried in ‘Screen designer’ under

screen ‘TCJOBR’ and set various fields to ‘Read only’ and they appear to save OK. However, when a

workorder comes down to the device, the fields are editable and on sync the new data uploads back to EAM.

Customer also made the same fields ‘Protected’ in front end EAM, however encountered the same result as

above.

Customer also tried all of this using version 11.1 EAM and 11.00 mobile, again same result. Alongside this,

I’ve also tried version 10.1.2 EAM database alongside version 11.0 mobile application and still get the same

outcome.

It seems a few fields has additional login on UI which overrides the sync config setting. For my testing I

marked Wo Description and Location field read only

What I found is:

In Add WO, both fields are readonly OK

In Edit WO, only location field is readonly.

EAM-20198 CLONE - Mobile Full VGA Audit error ‘Failed to create audiit record.’

Description

1) Making a status change for work orders on the mobile device from a user status of ‘Released’ (system status

of R) to a user status of ‘Finished’ (system status of R) and then synchronising the device with EAM. In all our

testing this has worked correctly, with no error message seen on the device.

On saving the status change (R to FN) to the work order on the mobile device he was seeing the following

error message – ‘Failed to create audiit record.’ (yes audit is spelt with two letter i) .

In Training I have created a new PPM, route free, change to FN from R on the resulting work order in mobile –

no error message seen

Conclusion – it is route on work order related.

but of course we do not get the audit values from the mobile device, which we do want to see.

We have replicated this error message with both V10.1.2 of mobile (with the hotfix of last September for

regional/date settings) and V11.0 (patched with SCR/JIRA # 18847 as the formal fix for regional/date

settings).

DEV NOTE:

This issue happens when the generated WO has multiple Equipment. It should come from the Equipment in

Route. It can also be reproduced by adding multiple equipment to the WO on server if the WO generated does

not have multiple equipment.

EAM-20746 CLONE - Base - Performance Issue caused by infinite loop when duplicate

custom fields are encountered.

Customer has been experiencing performance problems that seem to be caused by an infinite loop in

PresentFieldTag.doAfterBody() method (line 317).

The exact scenario that triggers the problem is still unknown. However a number of java thread dumps are

pointing to this as the problem and an examination of the code in that area shows potential for an endless loop

if duplicate custom fields are found.

When copying a blanket order header for a currency <> EUR, with the standard EAM copy functionality (icon

on the toolbar), the exchange rate is not refreshed.

In order to reproduce this take a "old" blanket order (currency <> EUR) where the exhcange rate is different

from the current exchange rate, copy the header and save.

You will notice that the exchange rate has not been refreshed.

Archive/Purge process is modified to be able to handle large amount of archive/purge data


When messaging status contains large amount of old data(hundreds of thousands records), querying this table

and fetching the data will either cause transaction timeout(2 minutes transaction timeout in EAM), or out of

memory. Some adjustments are made to resolve this issue.

EAM-21026 CLONE - Work Orders - error when changing status

Description

The error with status change is due to standard EAM (NullPointerException) in WorkOrderManagerBean

closingCodesChanged method. In the screen we did not change action/problem/failure code but only the status.

I think due to screen configuration some fields did not get any value (null) and get NullPointerException .

SOLUTION (maybe...?!) :

In stead of isStringEqual java string method, we should use the MP5 method (GenericUtility.isStringEqual)

which takes into account null objects.

EAM-21061 Databridge/ION - MaintenanceOrder BOD fails due to security rights

Description


When importing a WO, status change authorization logic during the processing is modified to avoid the

dependency on default user status change authorization.


An incoming MaintenanceOrder BOD tries to close an outstanding Cycle Checking Work Order with status

'Released' (status code REL, associated to system status R). The status change authorisation for the change

from REL to C has been defined.

The BOD fails with an error message stating that the status change authorisation to status 'Work Request'

(status code W, also associated to systems status R) is missing.

Status 'Work Request' is a status used by the Facility Management organisations and plays no role in the

Customer Owned Assets solution (Cycle Checking). Status code W has been setup as the system default user

status for systems status R (this default applies to all organisations). But when processing a straightforward

status change from 'Released' to 'Completed' there is no need to change to any intermediate status value at all.

Steps to reproduce:

1- Go to Purchasing - Purchase order - Create a new PO

2- Go to Parts Tab and add a new line with the following information

Qty= 300

Price= $100

3- Approved the PO created.

4- Go to Materials - Transactions - PO receipts and create a new PO Recepit for this PO.

5- Go to Packing Slip Tab and clic on "Retrieve Lines" option.

6- Receive only 295 qty instead of 300 qty. Save the record.

7- Select the record and Clic on "Record Packing Slip" option process

8- Go to Active Lines Tab, select the line and clic on "Approved Part" option menu

Here the message "Cannot receive more items than have been ordered" appears and this is a new PO with a

new PO Receipt.

EAM-21103 Databridge: Retry processor enhancement

Description


This enhancement will make retry process more efficient and more flexible.


When there are thousands of failed messages for retry, some retry messages are sent to queue but are not

immediately processed because queue is busy. These same messages might be picked up by retry processor on

another server connecting to the same database. This will cause the same message be processed multiple times.

We will add a new field(wss_retryqueuetime) on message status table so that when the message is picked up

by retry processor, wss_retryqueuetime will be set so that other retry processors will not retry this message

while this message is still waiting on retry queue.

We will also add an optional install parameter @TRYWAIT which is the number of minutes retry processor

will wait to pick up pending messages or those messages already sent to retry queue. By default without this

install parameter, the value is 60 minutes.

Verified presence of new wss_retryqueuetime field. If field is populated, retry will not process, or wait amount

of time specified in @TRYWAIT parameter.

EAM-21115 CLONE - Assets | Meters - The Average Daily Usage as calculated after each

meter reading only shows zero (due to rounding)

Description


After entry of each meter reading the Average Daily Usage is calculated. But this value is rounded so will

yield 0 (zero) in all cases.At BAE Systems the logical meter is used to record "Builds". A significant fraction

of all preventive maintenance ("Cycle Checks") is determined by the number of builds. A requirement is to

calculate the best estimate for the "Meter Due Date", i.e. the date on which the next maintenance order is

expected. To thisn purpose the number of builds remaining must be multiplied with the Average Daily Usage.

But the misplaced rounding prevents the proper use of this field.Note: with an Average Daily Usage of 10 the

accuracy of the extrapolated "Meter Due Date" will be 10%. The smaller the value of the Average Daily Usage

the larger the inaccuracy. When the Average Daily Usage is less than 0.5 the rounding will cause it to become

0 and the "Meter Due Date" can no longer be calculated.

To see the reported problem, you will need to select an equipment which has the cost values and does not have

any liner reference numbers. I am only able to reproduce it in an Oracle database.

I created a Work order, added a Book labor to it,making sure the trade/department/employee has a rate. Then

went to equipment screen, select the equipment from above Work Order then went to the Cost tab click the

Refresh Cost Data. Then follow above reproduce steps to see the error.

Description

The Preferred Supplier checkbox value is not matching in the list view and the lower block in Suppliers | Parts.

It looks like in the list the checkox 'Preferred Supllier' is checked when this part has a preferred supplier, any

prefferred supplier, it does not need to be the supplier which is selected at this moment in the Suppliers screen,

and for which the parts are now shown.


Looks like this is the query used for the list:

select DECODE( p.par_prefsup, NULL, '-', '+' ) preferred from R5parts p

In the lower block, the checkbox 'Preferred Supplier' is checked only when the selected supplier (for which the

parts are now shown) is the preferred supplier.

So these values are not matching. Normally in EAM the values of the list and lower block always match.

This error is only with Databridge / ION transactions. The same Manufacturer and Manufacturer Part can be

entered for the part directly in EAM without any errors.

For cloud customers using IFS CE but not Ming.le CE, the SSO process must be initiated by EAM rather than

Ming.le. However IFS CE requires a tenant-specific URL to be used when we begin the authentication

process, so the standard URL in idp.xml cannot be used.

Steps To Reproduce:

1. Configure EAM for SSO with Ming.le


2. Try to log in directly to EAM without first connecting to Ming.le. Result: there is an error message from

Ping Federate with a reference ID.

Inbound mapping PDF points AssetTrackingData\Property\NameValue[@name='SourceSystem'] and

outbound mapping.

We should modify our inbound implementation to be consistent with outbound and inbound mapping.

When customer invoices are created with a default status A, one encounters a problem when incomplete

invoice is sent to the interface (Databridge/ION).

3) Create an Asset and mark it as 'Contract'.

4) Create a Customer.

5) Create a Contract, using above data. Start Date 01/01 End Date 12/31. Next Invoice Date 02/10.

EAM-21458 CLONE - Base - Tenant Validation with SSO

Description

With Ming.le and SSO enabled, a user passes tenant2 on the querystring to logindisp but that user currently

belongs to tenant1 (in Ming.le). Currently the user gets logged in to tenant2.

This means EAM isn't respecting the tenant ID in the SAML response (which should be tenant1).

The problem is that the VLENVCLM install parameter isn't set to true.

This param should be set to true and also made fixed (for cloud deployments only).

EAM-21462 InforBOD: ProcessMaintenanceOrder inbound ownid

Description


For ProcessMaintenanceOrder inbound processing, the following changes are made: if lid of incoming

Document ID is EAM's own id, the document id of the wo is assumed to be created in EAM. If incoming wo is

not found in EAM, a wo using incoming wo id will be created and no auto wo number will be used. Incoming

wo id needs to following EAM wo ID restrictions.

1. If it matches, and this is a new work order, system takes the work order ID from the BOD

(MaintenanceOrderHeader\DocumentID).

2. If it does not match, system uses auto generated sequence number in EAM.

EAM-21465 InforBOD: MaintenanceOrder inbound with vertical option

Description



We will add an optional element "eam.Vertical" under header UserArea and the valid values are

"Base","Hospitality". This element will decide how EAM handles incoming wo add/update/change request. If

the value is "Base", Databridge will call EAM base wo related web services only. If the value is "Hospitality",

Databridge will call EAM Hospitality wo related web services only. Otherwise(other values or this element is

absent from incoming xml),the current behavior remains and Databridge calls all wo related web services.


This will resolve the following issue and some other vertical-related issues.

Steps:

# Work Order with status “FMAR - Pending FM Approval” is sent to ION using SYNCMAINTORDER

outbound BOD

# Workflow picks up and provides Approve / Reject buttons

# After the workflow has ended, and Acknowledgement BOD is sent to EAM, it includes the new Status.

Databridge fails to process the acknowledgement, citing a problem with the service code

# When repeating the process without service code, the updates works like a charm.

# I use the SYNCMAINTORDER bod to create a workflow in ION/Mingle

1. equipment 33001939-3 has class "MON, PHY" . The equipment's organization is "KTPH" while the

class_org="*"

2. set up problem code P0001. it is enabled for work order, valid for all equipment classes is unticked and

under class tab it is associated with class "MON, PHY"


3. on Work Order Healthcare screen, create a work order for 33001939-3. and under closing tab, click on

"Problem code" : the proposed list doesn't contain problem code P0001

4. repeat step 3 on work order screen (WSJOBS), cannot reproduce, the problem code P0001 is in the value list

of problem code.

EAM-21638 Web Service Prompts - Retrieved value not returning correct value

Description

When saving a record on a screen created using Web Service Prompts, we get an unable to retrieve text error

(see :VAMS WebServicePrompts Screen.JPG) .

The fields 'Department' in the secondary blocs are of type "Retrieved value". They are based on the

Department of the 1st bloc : 1040 (cf :VAMS WebServicePrompts Retreive Field ).

In the server log those fields are empty ( cf : VAMS WebServicePrompts Retrieve Field_logs ) hence the error.

As a test changed the property of fields Department to fixed value

= "PAM-FRA-OP" and after doing so we can find these value in our log.

So the issue seems with Retrieved values. (see VOBJL_fields_department.JPG and

VOBJL_fields_department_log.JPG)

We are only able to retrieve values for key fields of the retrieved from group web service.

Steps:

1. Create a WS Prompt screen

2. Go to Web Services tab, enter “OSOBJL” , “Insert” and “MP0317_AddLocation_001”. Create another

Process group with same details.

3. Go to Fields tab, enter all required fields for Process Group 10 and 20.

4. In Process Group 20, for Department field select “Retrieved Field” as Field Type and map field Department

of Process Group 10.

5. Give Permission for this WS Prompt screen in User Groups - Menu tab.

6. Re login again and go to this new WS Prompt screen and enter all the details for adding the location.

7. Verified error is displayed - 'Department field cannot be blank.'

Description

In the cloud the automation scripts use stopServer.sh to stop the application when executinig any type of

redeploy.

This script will wait up to 40 minutes for the application to gracefully shutdown. After 40 minutes it will

forcefully kill the application.

Before forcefully killing the application we should get a java thread dump so that it will be available for

debugging purposes.

EAM-21938 Mobile - Unable to connect to environments using SHA-2 encryption

Description

When connecting to an environment that uses SHA-2 encryption, mobile is unable to connect, failing with the

message "Could not establish trust relationship with remote server"

Dev Note:

This fix does not solve the problem for certain old Windows Mobile device which does not have SHA-2

support.


This fix solves the problem when connecting to Infor cloud server, the new SHA-2 SSL certificate requires the

Mobile client to accept the certificate as part of the security requirement.
