SAND, SILICA RAMMING MASS& FUSED SILICA)[CODE NO. 1799]
Silica is the name given to a group of mineralscomposed of silicon and oxygen, the two most
abundant elements in theearth's crust. Silicais found commonly in the crystalline state andrarely in an amorphous state. It is composedof oneatom of silicon and two atoms of oxygenresulting in the chemical formula SiO2 Sandconsists of small grains or particlesof mineraland rock fragments. Although these grains maybe of any mineral composition, the dominantcomponent ofsand is the mineral quartz, whichis composed of silica (silicon dioxide). Othercomponents may include aluminium, feldsparand iron-bearing minerals. Sand withparticularly high silica levels that is used forpurposes other thanconstruction is referred toas silica sand or industrial sand.

RICE MILL WITH RICE BRANOIL EXTRACTION (SOLVENT
EXTRACTION) [CODE NO. 1803]Rice is one of the oldest food crops and hasbeen in cultivation in India, China, Java andEast Africa since ancient times. India differsfrom China and other secondary regions ofcultivation by the presence of dominant genesin its varieties. There are two species ofcultivated Rice: (i) Oryza Sativa of Asian Originand (ii) Oryza Glaberrina or Red Rice. Indianrices are slow in germination, have more oflong than broad grains, are late in maturity andweak in straw, Japonica Rices have charactersopposite to the above. Besides analyze contentability to germinate under low temperature, rateof lespiration of young plants, reaction to thephenol etc. Differ between the two varieties, comparative studies reveal that these groupsof cultivated rices are easily distinguishedthrough the differences are apparent. Thecentres of distribution of these groups arerespectively Japan, India and Indonesia. Whilethe Indian group is rich in diversity of formswith morphological and ecological variations, there are similar but less diversity in Japonicaand comparatively very little in Javanica. Riceis one of the most important food grains. It isused in almost all homes as eatables. It hasgood filling capacity as a food grains.

E-RICKSHAW [CODE NO. 1804]Electric rickshaws (also known as Tuk Tuk, e-rickshaw) have been becoming more popularin some cities since 2008 as an alternative toauto rickshaws and pulled rickshaw becauseof their low fuel cost, and less human effortcompared to pulled rickshaws. They are beingwidely accepted as an alternative to Petrol/Diesel/CNG auto rickshaws. They are 3 wheelspulled by an electric motor ranging from 650-1400 Watts. They are mostly manufactured inChina, only a few other countries manufacturethese vehicles. Battery-run rickshaws could bea low-emitter complementary transport for thelow-income people, who suffer most from a lackof transport facility, if introduced in a systematicmanner according to experts. The electricautomobile did not easily develop into a viablemeans of transportation. Research waned from1920-1960 until environmental issues ofpollution and diminishing natural resourcesreawakened the need of a moreenvironmentally friendly means oftransportation. Technologies that support areliable battery and the weight of the needednumber of batteries elevated the price ofmaking an electric vehicle.[6] In 1837, RobertDavidson of Scotland appears to have beenthe builder of the first electric car, but it wasn'tuntil the 1890s that electr ic cars were

AUTOMOBILE OIL AND FUELFILTERS [CODE NO.1805]
A fuel filter is a filter in the fuel line that screensout dirt and rust particles from the fuel, normallymade into cartridges containing a filter paper. They are found in most internal combustionengines. Fuel filters serve a vital function intoday's modern, tight-tolerance engine fuelsystems. Unfiltered fuel may contain severalkinds of contamination, for example paint chipsand dirt that has been knocked into the tankwhile filling, or rust caused by moisture in a steeltank. If these substances are not removedbefore the fuel enters the system, they willcause rapid wear and failure of the fuel pumpand injectors, due to the abrasive action of theparticles on the high-precision componentsused in modern injection systems. Fuel filtersalso improve performance, as the fewercontaminants present in the fuel, the moreefficiently it can be burnt.

Lime is a calcium-containing inorganic materialin which carbonates, oxides and hydroxidespredominate. Strictly speaking, lime is calciumoxide or calcium hydroxide. It is also the nameof the natural mineral (native lime) CaO whichoccurs as a product of coal seam fires and inaltered limestone xenoliths in volcanic ejecta. The word "lime" originates with its earliest useas building mortar and has the sense of"sticking or adhering." These materials are stillused in large quantities as building andengineering materials (including limestoneproducts, concrete and mor tar) and aschemical feed stocks, and sugar refining, among other uses. Lime industries and the useof many of the resulting products date fromprehistoric periods in both the Old World andthe New World. Lime is used extensively forwaste water treatment with ferrous sulfate.

SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL[CODE NO. 1808]
Education plays an important role in theprogress of an individual’s mind and country.People are made aware of what is going on inthe world and can understand these issues andtake necessary measures, if they are educated.Education tames the astray mind, nurturing itscapabilities the same way, training builds aclever dog. Webster defines education as theprocess of educating or teaching (now that'sreally useful, isn't it?) ‘Educate’ is furtherdefined as “to develop the knowledge, skill, orcharacter of...” Thus, from these definitions, wemight assume that the purpose of education isto develop the knowledge, skill, or character ofstudents. Education being one of the mostimportant factors responsible to shape thepersonality of an individual has manifoldfunctions. It is the potent source of material andhuman development.

METALLIC STEARATEBY PRECIPITATION
AND FUSION PROCESSStearates of aluminium, calcium, magnesiumand zinc are known as driers and metallicsoaps. It has long been established that themetal or catier of the metallic soap is the activeprinciple which accelerates the oxidation andpolymerization reactions associated with thedrying of oils. As many as twenty four metalsare known to have activity, but the soaps ofcobalt, manganese, lead, iron, calcium, zincand zirconium account for the major share ofpresent-day-use. Of these cobalt, manganese, lead and iron soaps are the primary driers.Calcium, zinc and zirconium soaps alone donot promote drying. They are useful only inconjunction with one or more of the primarydriers and thus are termed auxilliary driers. Theorganic or a main portions of the metallic soapsused as driers act as carrying and salubilizingagents. Because of their stability, excellentsalability and low cost, soaps based onnaphthenic acid, tall oil and 2- ethylhexoic acidaccount for the major portion of the driers inuse today. Driers made with resin, oleic andlinoleic acids have declined in use, but are stillmanufactured for special purposes. Driersbased on newly available synthetic, tertiaryorganic acids have been developed.

COOLANT (ENGINE)Engine Coolant is a mixture of various typesof glycols and highly formulates & researchedvarious corrosive inhibitors. De-mineralizedwater is mixed with the coolant as persuggestion and used in the engine-radiatorcooling system to remove excess heat ofengine. The purpose of Coolant is to removeexcess heat produced from the engineoperation, to control corrosion and scaling,
antifreeze and boil over the radiator water. Somany years ago water was used to reduce thetemperature. Water is an effective heat transferfluid but it boils at very low temperature., highlycorrosive and format scaling. It impure thecooling liquid by accumulating corrosive andscaled waste. So it chocks up tubes of radiatorand finally engine overheats. Cost EstimationPlant Capacity 200 Ltr./DayLand & Building (350 sq.mt.) POLYOL USED FORPOLYURETHANES
Polyols are higher molecular weight materialsmanufactured from an initiator and monomericbuilding blocks. They are most easily classifiedas polyether polyols, which are made by thereaction of epoxides (oxiranes) with an activehydrogen containing starter compounds, orpolyester polyols, which are made by thepolycondensation of multifunctional carboxylicacids and hydroxyl compounds. They can befurther classified according to their end use asflexible or rigid polyols, depending on thefunctionality of the initiator and their molecularweight. Taking into account functionality, flexiblepolyols have molecular weights from 2,000 to10,000 (OH# from 18 to 56). Rigid polyols havemolecular weights from 250 to 700 (OH# from300 to 700). Polyols with molecular weights from700 to 2,000 (OH# 60 to 280) are used to addstiffness or flexibility to base systems, as wellas increase solubility of low molecular weightglycols in high molecular weight polyols.

Oxygen (O2, gas at Oo/1 matm., 1.429 g./1;crit. temp., 118o.8; crit. pressure, 49.7 atm.) isa colorless, odourless, and tateless gas, somewhat heavier than air. It is one of themost active elements and plays on essentialpart in the respiration of living cells and incombustion. It is by far the most abundantelements; it forms 21% by volume of theatmosphere and eight-ninths by weight of water;it occurs as silicates in the earth’s crust. Oxygenoccurs usually in the form of diatomicmolecules but triatomic ozone is also found. Asfor nitrogen, chemical fertilizer makers used itfor synthesis of ammonia and production ofcalcium cyanamide through installation of theirown nitrogen separators. In recent years, however, the characteristics of nitrogen asinactive gas have come to be utilized by thepetrochemical, textile, electronic and otherindustries as atmospheric gas. In addition, therange of use of nitrogen has expanded as itadded frozen food stuff industry as a new user.

TOUGHENED GLASSToughened glass is a type of soda-lime-silicaglass with a sheet thickness 4-12 mm. Thesheet has a central tensile stress of 500-1200kg/cm2 and a ratio of surface compressivestress to central tensile stress of 2:1 to 4:1.The article is toughened by heat exchangewith an oil (or chilled air) in which these ismaintained from 0.01 - 0.07% liquid. The boilingpoint liquid may be an organic liquid such ascarbon tetrachloride, methanol, benzene, toluene, trimethyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol orXylene etc. The toughened glass is describedas a type of glass which has been mechanicallystrenghen by a thermal process in which a layerof compression has been introduced at thesurface. There are several glass itemsintroduced into early ages of the century.Toughened safety glass (float or polished) isproduced by subjecting glass to a process ofheating and rapid cooling so as to induce highcompressive stresses in the surface sonesbalanced by high tension in the central place.

HUMIC ACIDHumic Acid is a bio-chemical which is a verycomplex mixture of organic constitents whichhave their counterpart in biological tissue ofplants. It is a brown polymeric constituent ofsoils lignite and beat. It contains brownish-blackpigment melanin and peat. Humic Acid acts
as a chelating agent a growth stimulant andcatalyst and buffer against harsh conditionsin the soil affecting the plants. It unlocks andchelates major and minor nutrients for plantuptake. In the absence of chelates in the Soil,Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Copper andMagnesium are converted to insolublehydroxides. It keep trace elements in solutionavailable for growing plants. It buffers high andlow pH’s to allow nutrient uptake to less thanoptimum conditions. Humic Acid has the abilityto resist a change in the hydrogen ionconcentration. Thus buffering capacity rangesbetween 5.5 and 6.5. It contains wide variety ofmajor and trace elements several amino acidand has pH of not less than 7.0.

The potato is a starchy, tuberous crop from theperennial Solanum tuberosum of theSolanaceae family (also known as thenightshades). The word potato may refer to theplant itself as well as the edible tuber. In theregion of the Andes, there are some otherclosely related cultivated potato species.Potatoes were first introduced outside theAndes region four centuries ago, and havebecome an integral part of much of the world’scuisine. It is the world’s fourth-largest food crop, following rice, wheat, and maize. Long-termstorage of potatoes requires specialized carein cold warehouses. Wild potato species occurthroughout the Americas, from the UnitedStates to Uruguay. The potato was originallybelieved to have been domesticatedindependently in multiple locations, but latergenetic testing of the wide variety of cultivarsand wild species proved a single origin forpotatoes in the area of present-day southernPeru (from a species in the Solanum brevicaulecomplex), where they were domesticated7,000-10,000 years ago.

BIOFERTILIZER [EIRI-1429]The fertilizers are used to improve the fertility of theland using biological wastes, hence the termbiofertilizers, and biological wastes do not containany chemicals which are detrimental to the livingsoil. They are extremely beneficial in enriching thesoil with those micro-organisms, which produceorganic nutrients for the soil and help combatdiseases. The farm produce does not contain
traces of hazardous and poisonous materials. Thus those products are accepted across theworld as Organic ones. Hence for organicfarming the use of biofertilizers is mandatory. In India the requirement of fertilizers is steeplyincreasing every year and is mainly suppliedin the form of chemical fertilizers. Chemicalfertilizers mainly Urea, D.A.P. Super Phosphate,Potash, Zinc Sulphate etc. are being used sincelong back to boost the crop production whichhas adverse effects on soil biota therebyincreasing the cost of cultivation.
