All of our courses are based upon PLC troubleshooting techniques to Industrial and Electrical

Engineering Standards. The courses available provide trainees with the knowledge on how to

Program, use Software Development tools, Write control software, Maintain and Fault Diagnose

manufacturing problems through the use of a PLC, also the creation of controls on HMI

Terminals to control and monitor the manufacturing process.

Training is also provided on how to use and interact with PLC programs to ensure that the

Safety Integrity of the manufacturing process is not compromised. For company employees we

can customize courses specifically around your own manufacturing environment, this ensures

the trainee is learning that which is more relevant to their working environment.

The Courses are conducted with on screen Visual Presentations and hands on use with PLC

Training kits and the use of Laptops.

Conventional or Project based Training:

Training can be given as a Conventional course or

can be Project based to suit your Company shop floor requirements. On the following pages

is a summary on some of the courses available.

Course Manuals and CD

Documentation:

Each trainee receives Course Manuals, Portfolio and Training.

At the end of each course there is an informal test, based upon

the subjects taught during the course, we then provide each

trainee with a Course Certificate to show that they have fully

completed the course.

Training Grants: (UK Companies only) Up to 50% grant assistance is available on any of our courses through Business Link. For further details please contact us.

Project Based Training

Project based Training provides the company with a quick return on their training investment. The company identifies a requirement that would benefit the manufacturing process and appoints the engineer(s) to be trained in its development. At the end of the course the engineers are fully trained and the project is ready to be installed and commissioned at a time to suit you. One such Project Training Course could be the modification of existing HMI Control Screens OR the construction of a Downtime System, which can be used to identify the main Loss areas of your manufacturing process. The information it provides can then be utilised to improve the manufacturing efficiency or as a precursor to an MES system. Project based training is an ideal way of ensuring your engineers are learning at a level more relevant to your manufacturing circumstances.

Benefits:

Your engineers are trained on a manufacturing process that you select.

Training is based upon the Hardware and Software that your engineers have to maintain.

Downtime can be reduced as engineers become more familiar with the control software.

So as not to disrupt the manufacturing process, all training is conducted in a training area away from the manufacturing area.

Training can be arranged to fit your schedule.

We will work with your company to determine your specific requirement. Should any special equipment be necessary then a fee may have to be charged, this would be discussed prior to the course preparation.

Off-Site Training Centre

PLC / HMI courses

Open to Company Engineers and Individuals who have no in house training facilities. Courses are available from 2-5days also 1 day refresher courses for those who have previously attended a course. We can also accommodate Day Training for individuals who wish to spread a 5day course over a time period to suit their circumstances, no financial commitment is required for course days not booked.

These courses are held throughout the year

Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. Also available at Hexham

and Alnwick Northumberland.

Held in modern facilities with computer terminals and overhead projection, they provide a quiet

and relaxing atmosphere. Each pair of trainees is equipped with a Test Rig that allows them to

test and debug the course exercises.

To ensure trainees receive adequate attention, the

number of places per course is limited, so it advisable to

book early. Dates for these courses are released every

month.

Throughout the day coffee and tea is provided along

with a buffet lunch.
