Car Parking
The Institute has parking for approximately 680 cars. Thishas proved to be ample capacity for the needs of thepart-time programme over recent years.
Parking is not permitted in areas other than designatedparking spaces to ensure that access is available at alltimes for emergency vehicles. Cars parked outsidedesignated areas and parking in spaces set aside for thedisabled without a permit, are liable to be clamped.
There are a number of public car parks with walkingdistance of the Institute.

Evacuation Procedure
Throughout the building, there are floor plans in redcoloured frames headed Emergency Escape Route.These show the emergency escape routes from all parts
of the building, to the outside.In the event of an emergency, please go to the assemblypoint that you are directed to as you leave the building(A, B, C or D).
Become familiar with the various emergency exit doorson the ground floor. There are a total of 28!

During semester times, the main entrance to theInstitute on Old Blessington Road is open duringthe following times:
Monday to Thursday from 07.00am to 10.00pm
Friday from 7.00am 7.00pm
Saturday from 8.00am to 2.00pm (the gate canbe closed later than 2.00pm, depending on theschedule of activities within the campus)

Catering
Kylemore Foods Group provides catering servicesto the Institute.
The evening hot food service is available from5.00pm until 6.30pm.Teas, coffees and snacks are available until8.30pm.
The canteen is generally open on Saturdays from10am to 2pm for teas, coffees and snacks.
If the canteen is not open, vending machines areprovided to provide hot and cold drinks, sweets,
confectionery, fruit, yoghurts and sandwiches.
